Christmas came early today!!! I finally received Valerian 3D and I’m glad I went for the Lenticular Edition - very nicely done!

Also received:

El Americano 3D (limited to 500 apparently)
Snow Queen Trilogy 3D
Blufans Guardians of the Galaxy 2 One-Click
Manta Lab Wonder Woman Double Lenti

And I booked my IMAX 3D tickets for The Last Jedi on opening night!!!! The only IMAX screen near me is nearly sold out already. It was more than $50 for three tickets - nuts.

Got my Valerian from Rahul today and loved it. Glorious in 3D.

Still haven't been able to replace the defective copy of Young Detective Dee and the Rise of the Sea Dragon. Can buy the relatively inexpensive Blu-ray copy - was loving the film that much - but can't force myself to see it either flat or simulated. It would be too upsetting. That's why I'm surfing the web everyday in hopes of a rare copy showing up. Money no object - well, almost.

Darn you 3D. Stop making it difficult for me to enjoy movies in standard 2D!

The film it's self gets a bit boring. But the 3D was outstanding.

Julia X came in yesterday. It said region b but its region free.

Didnt watch the whole thing but the 3D is pretty good. I liked the text before the movie was curved instead of flat and comming at the screen. it was curved and came forward which ive never seen before.

Also when the title of the movie came up the "X" jumped forward 3 times and really jumped out of the screen which was awesome.

Got I Robot yesterday and The Mermaid and Call of Heros being delivered today.

Am thinking of producing my own 3D direct to video called "Running Out Of Storage Space". Have a good idea where I can find the cast members. LOL

Hi ct,

That's the region B edition which I couldn't play or read anyway.

Gather you have a region free player and can download English subtitles off the web?

Enjoy. I'm still searching and hoping one day to come across another copy. Just can't give in and go for the 2D. It's too heart breaking.

I think that is the one I have. It is region B so that doesn't help Joe, but you can download English subs to your computer or smartphone.

I need to see proof that somebody praised this movie!

It is pretty bad, one scene in particular IMO. But there are some good 3d shots in this film.

Hi Damon,

Thought you were one who didn't find it half bad. Maybe jumped the gun.

Did read reviews including those on Amazon by those who had the 3D version. Know anybody can post anything there without verification but some, who were Argento fans admitted it was not on par with his past but not bad. And the 3D fanfare was mixed, with some calling it outstanding.

Yes, have seen this get reviews on par with those who say 3D is dead (yup, that bad). But some have also called it an underrated horror flick in the tradition of the old Hammer studios.

But will admit, my collection has grown so much, along with my addiction, that I'm now searching for titles.

Just watched Cease Fire.

Outstanding restoration. Very good production but I could not help feeling frustrated because it was a reminder of the insane cold war that engulfed the world and led the U.S. to Korea and Vietnam and McCarthyism at home.

After world war two, freed by Japanese conquest, Korea was divided by Russia and the U.S., installing dictatorships in each (communistic in the north, of course), both with intentions of unifying the country - under their own control. It was an internal war (with many border skirmishes that led to the death of nearly 10,000 Koreans occurring before the north invaded the south) and not part of any international communist threat. The Chinese became involved because they feared a U.N. invasion to overthrow them as troops headed toward the Yalu River which bordered it and North Korea. The general in the opening never mentioned that. Am sure he could not see the situation as it really was due to the nature of the time, just like the United Nations which also saw the fall of South Korea as a possible start of a domino effect.

Sorry for the sermon.

Sermonize on! You may have more to add if Cease Fire 2 3D: The Sequel comes about...if you know what I mean.
