Site's review is spot-on about the movie, but I might be a little more positive. But that's better than being negative, which I was when I first saw it at my theatrical screening.

It's my movie of the year, so I'm happy that the 4K and standard Blu-ray are both top notch on the video and audio side of things.

I was waiting for this review. After reading it, it seemed the reviwer didn't care for the movie as much as he did for the picture and sound. I'll do my own judging when I get to finally watch this sometime this week. I only have a decent 5.1 setup but I'm sure it will be more than adequate for me. I'm ready to take this on...

Very happy with this disc.
actually does anyone know the ratio of 5perf 70mm to 15perf 70mm footage is featured in the movie?

In all seriousness, it’s A-OK if he didn’t think too highly of it but you can’t go into a film with pre-conceptions already in your mind about how the film should be when the filmmaker has other ideas. If it was more “I get what he was doing but it don’t work for me”, sure, but it didn’t seem like that’s the case here.
Ah, audio is 5 out of 5. No audio clipping.

Video is 5 out of 5. No unfocused camera work.

Reference sound and picture. Totally awesome!

Nolan's the best. Full delivery as he exactly envisioned it.

He could do Bond films, Star War films, ...and I wouldn't mind for one bit. What do you think?

I believe about 70% of the movie is in 15/70 IMAX with the remainder being 5/65.

LFE in this movie might bother the neighbors and cause rattling of lose objects around the house. You have been warned.

Can't wait to get the 4K Blu tomorrow (Tuesday) at Best Buy. Didn't see it in theatres but I love period piece films.

Picked my (UK) copy up this morning. Only two available in store but a TON of the blu-ray versions. All the Nolan 4K titles seem to be in ridiculously short supply everywhere.

OCD collectors like myself who want the slipcases should be warned in advance that Warners appear to have handed the design/product order for "Dunkirk" over to the incompetent intern. Alone out of the other Nolan title slipcases for the 4K releases put out today this is on a matte finish where all the others are glossy, despite otherwise conforming to the exact same design.

I know it's not THAT big a thing but man, how easy would it have been to have been consistent? So sick of the home entertainment companies doing this sort of thing again and again and again. Morons!

Thank you, but mine was a warning not a review. When the neighbors call the cops on you don't come telling me you were not told

It's interesting that the DVD gets IMAX, but no digital version, even 4K does. Wonder if this has something with Nolan preferring physical media (and push to come shove I do also, but as far as getting the benefit of the extra resolution and image quality of IMAX sequences, a 4K stream obviously blows away a DVD).

Any chance this release rings up at Best Buy this evening if an employee will give it a try?

So anyone had the chance to see this to see if there's any macroblocking like on my display? I've had another E6 user telling me there's macroblocking on the white skies but would like to know if this is related to the display specifically or not.
