Did you watch Hacksaw Ridge? It's another great WWII based film by Mel Gibson

I have a dilemma here. I just got my copy in today but...it was not the one I ordered. I ordered the 4K and received the steelbook. Went back to my Best Buy account and to make sure I cancelled it and sure enough I did on Dec.9th. I thought it was stange beacuse my 4K copy is still in Detroit and probabaly won't get that until tomorrow. This copy never had any tracking numbers. Not sure what to do here. It clearly shows my order was cancelled and it only shows in my cancelled items. What should I do? The samething happened with Spiderman:Homecoming, cancelled and got it anyway and was never charged.

Depends on your morals and conscious, we can't answer that for you. If you try to return it they'll likely just say to keep it. Sounds like you cancelled it properly and got it anyway...not your problem.

I agree. Even if I tried to return there will no SKU number for them to scan back ino the store and might mess up thier inventory. I'll wait and see if I get the other tomorrow.

Ok so I’ve waited and waited for this film.......and no Atmos or DTS-X?

I get I’m a nobody and my money is fractions of the smallest percentage to Nolan’s big picture... but I don’t care. My stand is resolute. I will not buy or watch another Nolan Film until he releases an immersion soundtrack.

He won’t get my box office ticket money, film purchase or anything.

Right on.

He's worse than Harvey Weinstein and Kevin Spacey combined.

The 5.1 track has gotten universal high marks so far and I'm sure Nolan won't miss your business.

more movies need to be released with their original theatrical audio, regardless of number of speakers used, and that's a hill i'll die on

I’m sure he’s having sleepless nights over this, especially with Home Cinema Choice giving him “Best Audio disc of the year” for this ‘non-immersion’ soundtrack (rolls eyes)

My God.

What an absolute beast of a transfer. This is undeniably the Holy Grail of the UHD blu-ray format so far.

The IMAX footage during the spitfire dog fights is unreal.

The colors of the film throughout.

The skin tones.

Everything is so natural.

The HDR is complimentary and non-overbearing. It really flexes its muscle in scenic shots in which the sun rays mix with the clouds and reflections of the ocean.

I'm watching this film back to back, that's how ungodly gorgeous this film's transfer is!

Still think a movie doesn't matter if it's 2k?

And I'm the exact opposite, i'm a purist. While I love listening to ATMOS mixes, I always prefer original theatrical mixes as originally intended than remixes. If a studio wishes to do an ATMOS remix, keep the original mix too.

As for Nolan, he still creates films in the still superior photo chemical process. ATMOS is not compatible with the way soundtracks are printed onto film. Hence why this is not an ATMOS mix. This is find with me, I would always want what the director envisioned.

I actually changed my mind about that a while back. I don't think a film necessarily has to shoot directly at 4K in order to be 'the real deal' on this format. But I do think a 4K-DI, or higher, should be utilized at all times going forward.

The cameras/lenses used for 'Dunkirk'--and the process to receive a native 4K transfer for this format, certainly destroys any 2K-DI film that's out right now. It's no contest.

Whilst this looks great on 4K, the transfer didn't blow me away like I was expecting it too. It's a great looking movie but I was expecting to really be taken aback with the image quality for this UHD and I just wasn't. It definitely looks good though, but I didn't find it to be as sharp as I was expecting.

Good movie, refreshingly little dialogue for a Nolan movie so I rate it highly for that as I'm not really a fan of his writing.
