I have to agree. I bought GHWT (game only) recently at a discount, as I already had the instruments from the RB2 bundle and I have to admit that GHWT doesn't quite do it for me. Everything from the gawdawful cheesy cartoony look of the characters to the extremely cluttered and busy stages just distracts me from what should be a fun experience. And the DLC for GHWT is a joke. I'll take RB2 over GHWT anyday.

Im going to go out and buy all the instruments, as some of you may know, i am a fan of GH over RB because i only really like to play the guitar, but im going to be open minded and give them both a shot RB2 and GHWT. So with no fanboy stuff or biased opinions, can someone give me a solid answer for which equipment is better. By better i mean strong, last longer, wont break.... then ill buy both the games and opinionate myself...

GHWT's guitar is solid, but prone to manufacturing failures. RB2's guitar is more reliable out of the box, but doesn't quite have as good a feel (but it's no slouch). It's too early to know which one will hold up better over extended use, but both feel sturdy enough as far as I can tell from playing with both. |

Anyone know if on these games, can you play 3 guitars at once? If so, I'm gonna jump in on it! I know you can play 2 on rockband's. Thx ahead of time. And sorry if answered already, I couldnt find my answer with the search!

For three simultaneous guitars, I "think" Rock Revolution will handle that, but don't quote me on it. The game is pretty dreadful, though. |

I was given RB2 as a gift this Christmas and I'd really like to know if this will work. If so, what's the process exactly, and where do I get the $5 code?

Rent/borrow a Rock Band 1 PS3 disc. Put the RB1 disc into your PS3. Let it start, and update it to version 1.06. Exit Rock Band 1. Go to the PlayStation Store, search games by Title, go to R, go to Rock Band, and find the Rock Band Export Key for $4.99. Buy it and install it. Go back to Rock Band 1. From the game menu, select Options -> Export Songs. This will export 55 out of 58 songs (63 of 67 if you're in Europe) to your hard drive. The songs that will not export are Enter Sandman by Metallica, Paranoid by Black Sabbath, Run to the Hills by Iron Maiden, and (for EU) Monsoon by Tokio Hotel. |
