Sure, it's easy to lampoon Lifetime and the network may well deserve it, but you just never know. Their 2016 remake of Mother, May I Sleep With Danger?, replete with lesbian vampires and James Franco, was a real camp hoot. Perhaps there's something more insidious and venal going on here we're unaware of: I've come to suspect their saccharine sweet Christmas movies are a calculated plot to level scores of diabetics, and their predictable and dull romances are aired in an attempt to bore jaded housewives to death!
