You know... when I saw this movie in theaters I had not read anything about it. I laughed at all the silly jokes, thought it was good "fun"... but... to a non "comic book fan" I don't know the ins and outs of these stories so I felt like so much was lost on a lot of people like me. A really strong guy from out of no where misses his mother but there are objects he can bring together to get her back... thankfully he's stopped and the scary red stuff is turned into flowers. Just kind of left me facepalming my forehead. I saw Zach Snyder was the director and thought to myself "This doesn't feel right... he's losing his touch or he's forgotten about what makes Watchmen and Man of Steel so amazing."

I then set out to write him a letter to remind him, that those films had bad guys that made sense... They had characters in them that were extremely complex and not easy to know how they would react next. In Man of Steel, everything the bad guy does... one can identify with... he's LITERALLY trying to bring back his race from extinction. Blah blah blah... I could go on and on but that lead me to researching Zach a bit and that's when I found out about his daughter during the middle of the production of this film. Suffice it to say, I will not be writing him any letters. The "tragedy" that this film is so wrecked (from a certain point of view) was birthed by real life personal tragedy. We can blame Joss, Warner Brothers, and even Snyder, but at the end of the day it was a culmination of unfortunate times.

I like seeing how passionate you guys are about getting this "Snyder" version. My gut tells me it's not going to live up to expectations either. People are fans because, like Man of Steel and Watchmen meant to me these stories speak to a hidden part of us... that part of us that knows our own inner most struggles that no one else sees, that part of us that always feels so misunderstood by others, that polished side of us that we want to be know as. These stories somehow bring that depth up to surface, and clearly, not everyone understands how powerful those visions on screen are. But these D.C. films are trying SO very hard to be everything to everyone... great "family" entertainment, competitors in a business world to Marvel, faithful to the source... It's a lot to ask, and this is a day and age that lives and dies by the bottom dollar, which is achieved only through things that have the broadest appeal.

Anyway... can't wait to see the UHD. Those alien flowers will look phenomenal with all the extra colors.

I actually don't mind the Tactical Batsuit, it reminds me of the of a combination of Batsuit 8.04 & 8.05 from Arkham Knight.

haha.... what? Did I miss something (possible) and Steppenwolf had mommy issues or were you thinking his need to collect all of the mother boxes was him looking for his mother? I can only imagine what you must have been thinking when this guy was desperate for his mother's.... box. Three of them.

There were rumors that a trimmed thread from the film involved the essence of Steppenwolf's mother being trapped within the motherboxes, and that uniting them would resurrect her. Steppenwolf allegedly wanted to do this so he and she could then overthrow Darkseid and rule the universe. None of that has been confirmed by people involved with the film, though, and might just be a random fan theory gone viral.

I was being a bit tongue in cheek, but yet at the same time... the dialogue is just about that bad. There was a moment when he looks at Cyclops and says "Yes, you see it, don't you?" or something like that... and I thought at some point that was going to set up some awesome expose' to explain everything but it just turned into a completely idle line.

Marvel isn't perfect. Thor 2 was basically a movie about dark elves that when the planets aligned could perfectly control deadly Kool-Aid. Like... universe destroying, super scary Kool-Aid, but when Thor gets hit with it, it just knocks him back a little bit. No biggie really. Maybe Thor was immune, because his girlfriend, Queen Amidala, was the one that drank the Kool-Aid and carried it around through most of the film. "OH YEAH". Definitely an "epic ending scene" that had me laughing for all the wrong reasons.

I believe it was info from a previous test screening, Hegra’s essence is in the mother boxes and at one point I think Cyborg speaks to her as she tries to convince him to let her resurrect.

It was confirmed by multiple sources a long time ago that a full Snyder Cut exists. It's just that Zack's haters are doing their best to bury the truth, which is why you have so many articles going out of their way to silence anybody who knows its real. The For Snyder Cut website is now up and running so maybe those of us who are true fans of Zack Snyder's vision will finally get some justice? Amid all this controversy the first home video release of Justice League shouldn't be expected to include a Zack Snyder Cut. It is going to be extended by one scene according to this article promoting the Walmart release of Justice League.
