Number of expected returning starters for key teams in 2018. Preseason polls are probably just going to be a repeat of the final poll this season. Alabama, Clemson, Ohio St., Oklahoma, Georgia in or near the top 5. Clemson is bringing back nearly all their starters.

UCF bring back virtually it's entire offense but there are key losses on defense like Shaquem Griffin. Star QB Milton was only a sophomore this year.

Alabama: 9 offense, 6 defense
Clemson: 8 offense, 8 defense
Ohio St.: 7 offense, 5 defense
Oklahoma: 7 offense, 6 defense
Georgia: 7 offense, 5 defense
Wisconsin: 9 offense, 5 defense
Miami: 8 offense, 9 defense
Washington: 7 offense, 9 defense
Michigan St.: 10 offense, 9 defense
West Virginia: 7 offense, 7 defense
Penn St.: 7 offense, 5 defense
Auburn: 6 offense, 5 defense
USC: 7 offense, 5 defense
UCF: 9 offense, 7 defense

Rumor has it the 3 Jr D lineman for CU. I'll be shocked if it happens but that could be a nasty D again next year. Hopefully the O will improve with Hunter Johnson having another Spibg and summer under his belt and Trevor Lawerence on campus now. I'll be stunned if Kelly Bryant finishes the year as starting QB.

2 if 3 of the D line is coming back. CW42 is undecided but I'm thinking he comes back too. Crazy talent on the D line wit nose guys and incoming freshman. D will be championship level. Hoping the O can keep pace. 4 years in a row to playoffs. Unreal. Nobody expected that but it's not stopping there.

Losing another OC and DC.
2 starting DL, top 2 LB and top 2 CB and Top 4 Safeties (depending on what position you assign to Minkah Fitzpatrick).

1st game of 2018 means 4 different OC in the last 17 games

Normally that's devastating but with Alabama returning starters seems to rarely matter. They've lost more than 2 games just once in the last ten years.

Georgia is crushing it with recruiting, best class in the nation so far. They have six five-star recruits. Clemson, Ohio St., Texas, Penn St., Alabama, Miami, Notre Dame also have excellent classes.

2 of the worst QB performances ever seen in a National Championship game. Gino Torretta with 3 picks -- one pick 6 and two other deep in Miami territory leading to 2 other Alabama scores

Alabama QB had 12 yds passing for the entire game and one of the most famous plays in Alabama history never really happened -- George Teague spotted the fastest Miami receiver 5 yds on what appeared to be an 85 yd TD pass and not only ran him down, but stripped the ball from him at the 10 yard line. It was nullified by an Alabama player lining up offside. Reminds me a little of the 2012-2013 Alabama- ND championship game.

Interesting note that Dabo Swinney was a senior WR on that 1992 team having 4 receptions for 48yds for the season.

Worst national title game performance has to be Vinny Testaverde. Miami was so much more vastly talented that year than Penn St. is literally took them seven turnovers to lose that game. Vinny threw 5 picks.

Troy Smith was right up there too. Heisman award followed by a 4 for 14, 35 yard passing turkey of a game against Florida in the national title game.

The CU D line is back. Should be another great D next year. Potentially the best ever at CU. Crazy depth up front. Very good shot at another playoff run. Hopefully they can get great QB play next year.

Big surprise, Stanford running back Bryce Love is returning to school for his senior year. Love was the Heisman runner-up and was Mel Kiper's #2 running back in this year's draft class. With how short running back careers are it's rare to see a potential first round pick stay in school for his senior year.

MSU would be under no NCAA sanctions as this had to do with Gymnastics and not football/basketball

Gymnastics as part of the NCAA. This is a major issue across multiple sports too. Basically every female sport offered at the school is represented.

This is Penn State, with female athletes being raped instead of children.

Actually, scratch that last part. Turns out a decent number of the athletes were children.

How does a minor participate in sports in college? I thought you had to be at least 18.

Sounds like they were on campus for events being hosted by Michigan State.
