Joel Edgerton is a name now so yeah, casting him again would be a good idea (especially for continuity).

Darksider ghosts aren't really a thing. Anakin only ghosted because of the intervention of ghost Yoda & ghost Obi-Wan. ( Also, the whole thing about training with Qui-Gon was also in the old canon. )

The Sith won’t become Force ghosts. That’s the irony of their obsession to cheat death. They never succeed to do so except for one, while on the other hand it is the Jedi who managed to do it, in a way. I believe George Lucas meant to explore this further and bring it to closure in the sequel trilogy, but we won’t see that now.

For the one who said about having the movie set during the Clone Wars. What if it is set in 2 time lines? One when Obi Wan is living in Tatooine , and something from the past comes back to haunt him (not Darth Maul) and we get told that story which would be from the Clone Wars era at the same time. Just a thought

It was due to Obi-Wan & Yoda hooking it up for him.

Personally I think they should get Dave Filoni of Clone Wars and Rebels fame to direct this one. He's shown on both shows he's a master storyteller, he's written more Obi Wan dialogue and directed more scenes than any other writer in SW. He has a beautiful almost painter eye for detail and his work on both shows is visually stunning and narratively satisfying. Just look how well he handled the Maul/Kenobi final standoff. He's pretty much George's apprentice, after working with him for four years and really deserves a live action SW movie if you ask me. I love the idea of having the film set in two time periods, one of those being CW.

I've always had a problem with this notion, even though George Lucas says it in the audio commentary, making it legit. The idea that Obi-wan and Yoda are on the other side, cheering Anakin on to cross over: "C'mon, Ani, you can do it!"
I was far more comfortable with the idea that Anakin transfers to a new state of being by dint of his sacrifice. Not only does his act of selflessness save his son but it also saves the galaxy from the tyranny of the Emperor, which is a pretty big deal. This issue of the Sith not being able to continue their existence following their physical death is very simple. The Sith have an attachment to self which prevents them from being able to, as they see it, "cheat death". Only by letting go and accepting death as "a natural part of life" can someone live on through the Force. The idea of Sith ghosts may seem cool but it doesn't gel with the overall philosophy of the saga. |

This is exactly what I've been saying. Disney needs to make some Clone Wars spin offs before the actors get way too old to do them.

Don't know if this is legit, but there are reports that....
Lucas himself has been scouting filming locations in Belfast for Kenobi film. http://www.express.co.uk/entertainment/films/918191/Star-Wars-Obi-Wan-Kenobi-movie-filming-2019-Belfast-George-Lucas |
