Back on topic, but I'm surprised the AMC in Atlanta didn't get hit. $15.79 for non-matinee 2D tickets seemed pretty expensive, but it's possible there's not as much volume going through it compared to others. |

Ouch, that's big market pricing right there. Had no idea it's gotten that expensive down there. Then again, I'm sure Atlanta isn't the same Atlanta since I was last there.

Just read this article about how MP is overstating how much revenue AMC receives from them.
MP pulling support for certain theaters is a shit move, especially because they did it without notifying their anybody, therefore wasting many of their customers time. I'm still gonna use it as much as I can, but it ain't like I'll stop going to the movies if they fold. I just paid over $80 for 4 tickets for Black Panther & plan on doing the same for Infinity War. I even paid $23 to see Den of Thieves. I love AMC Prime will always choose Prime over any auditorium even though the movie may be playing where MP is accepted. AMC will probably be in the same position they were in before MP reduced their subscription price & I'm pretty sure every chain is trying to create their own subscription service & has extra money for research thanks to MP. Whatever the outcome is of all of this, I hope it benefits us, the customer, because what MP did Thursday certainly did not. |

River East in chicago is a theatre I use and now I can't. I don't drive so i have limited options and this theatre has a lot of indies. Its pretty shitty movie pass is trying to strong arm AMC like this while hurting their customers.

In fairness, AMC drew first blood when they were threatening to ban MP last Year.

New TOS Email from Movie Pass is being sent out.
These are the AMC theatres that are no longer being accepted: AMC Century City 15, Los Angeles, CA AMC Mercado 20, Santa Clara, CA AMC Disney Springs 24, Lake Buena Vista, FL AMC Loews Boston Common 19, Boston, MA AMC River East 21, Chicago, IL AMC Mission Valley 20, San Diego, CA AMC Tysons Corner 16, McLean, VA AMC Veterans 24, Tampa, FL AMC Loews Alderwood Mall 16, Lynwood, WA Luckily this doesn't affect me since I don't have any AMC's in my city, sorry to those it affects. ![]() This reddit post shows the TOS changes, not really much other than different wording. And that they now allow month to month, three months, and full year subs. Wasn't aware of the 3 month option before. https://www.reddit.com/r/MoviePassCl...ervice_update/ Last edited by Unknown450; 01-27-2018 at 05:40 AM. |

For now. But I see this as a warning shot. if other chains are willing to deal and AMC isnt, I can see them eventually removing all AMCs, which would suck for me because the only theaters within like an hour of me are all AMC

All of the closest theaters are all Regals, so it won't be that much of an effect for me. |
