Aspect ratio question on Panny THX models

No HD2 does not substitue for full. All the HD1 And HD2 options control is the amount of overscan on the tv! I only ever use the full and zoom aspect ratios's (zoom for 4:3 content) then i just change the overscan settings if i want to.

So I can leave it in H2 and just hit full on the remote when watching DVD's?

the five aspect ratio that brett described are controller from the "format" button on the remote. This allows you to switch between the five settings with the touch of a button while watching a station.

HD1 and HD2 option is in a completely different menu, advanced picture options. You can choose that option there independently of the format choices.

That's cool.I hate Tv's that you half to go into the menu to change formats.I use full all the time on my current Panny LCD. It's a 2003 model and one of the last that requires a separate HD receiver. I am hoping the built in ones have a memory because the one I have now fogets the off air stations you have programmed when you turn the outdoor antenna.
