The first one is the only one you have to be concerned with. Its a great film but the rest are extremely terrible. Its a one-film "franchise" , IMO.

Extremely terrible?

If you're talking about the fifth one, I'd say you're not far off but calling the others "extremely terrible"? You really dislike them that much? I almost enjoy the second one as much as the first, the third one is greatly entertaining and I happen to love the fourth (prefer it to Vengeance actually).

Examples of sequels I would call extremely terrible are Nightmare 5+6 and Friday The 13th 8-10.

Well, you're always going to have some of these "sequels are terrible" folks.

I've haven't heard many real good reasons for that thinking when it comes to this series though.

I hope releasing the first movie on uhd but not the sequels doesn't become a thing 'cause this release is useless to me at this point.

1 is my favorite, then 2, then 4. Love 4. 3 is kinda forgettable/meh for me. I may even like 4 over 2.

5 was borderline unwatchable it was so ghey. Just dumb. In fact that movie pretty much solidifies the decline of ol’ Bruce. His recent roles / movies have pretty been bad IMO.

I’m like “Cool! A new Movie with Bruce in it!”
Wife “You remember the last 4-5 movies with him in it have been turds, right?”

Surrogates was one of his last decent ones. Enlighten me if I’m wrong.

Looper was his last good movie for me (EDIT: Rian Johnson's last good movie, too). I kinda dug GI Joe 2. Didn't care much for Moonrise Kingdom or the RED movies, but they have their fans. But yeah, in general Willis has been terrible recently. I have passes to see Death Wish next week but I may end up skipping that screening. Just doesn't look too exciting.

His attitude since the Cop Out debacle has been terrible. It's pretty alarming that a mild-mannered guy like Sly called him out on twitter.

Great news; first only for me.

Nobody's talked about the extras. I have the Five Star DVD in an envelope in with my Blu; they didn't put anything on any other Blu release, did they?

Honestly, it's just an iconic film and should have an expensive, painstaking update with Atmos and all the extras, please.

OK - maybe I overdid it a bit. I didnt care for the second one and honestly didnt bother with the rest. I am NOT against sequels at all but they have to be good and/or further the story line thats developed in the first film. IMO.

Kevin Smith publicly outed him as being really tough to work with. Then he walked off the set of The Expendables 3 because he wanted a million dollars for 1 day of work and Sly called him greedy and lazy on twitter. Then he got fired from a Woody Allen movie due to a lack of effort. He also hgave some really bad interviews for the RED sequel.

It appears DH3 is a rejected LW3 script and is therefore terrible even though what they ended up with for LW 3 was far worse.

I watched the blu ray upscaled a few weeks ago and it looked great. The 4K better be cheap or I'll have to pass.

Not worth paying $20-$30 for a small upgrade.

Did he actually get fired from Cafe Society? Willis has seemed lazy lately with all of the DTV crapfests and the horrendous 5th Die Hard movie. I hope to God that Shyamalan can get him to bring his A-game for Glass.
