To be honest, I thought John C. Reilly was funnier than Will Farrell. I respect your opinion.... we're just debating. But come on, "Boats and Hoes," the job interviews, the kids beating them up. And just their improvs were really funny. Like I said, Sarah Marshall is funny, especially that "Inside You" song, but I felt the last 20-30 min were kind of boring.

I don't think anyone is homophobic, but umm we're not used to seeing that male "part" in 1080p. You gotta prepare people for that stuff. Even the girl I was watching it with hated that part the most. Personally I just didn't see the point in it. It sure as hell wasn't funny and it wouldn't be funny if Mila Kunis was nude also. Sure it'd be better to watch, but would be pointless.

It's that equal amount of heart and human emotion mixed in with the raunchy humor that makes anything produced under the Apatow banner so great.

The moment near the end with Peter and Rachel at the check-in counter is actually my favorite moment in the film, since the acting calibre of Mila Kunis truly astounded me. Up until this movie, I would never have given her a moment of consideration, since I thought Jackie on THAT 70'S SHOW is probably the most annoying character of the bunch and I don't get why Meg on FAMILY GUY being constantly shit upon is funny. But in this movie, she was actually charming, and that scene with her controlled and contained rage towards Peter was like seeing Miley Cyrus belt out a bit of Mozart opera. It was seeing a performer completely undervalued bringing all their talent together and blowing everyone out of the water. It was THAT good.
Oh, I meant it as a compliment when I said it was as dramatic as it was funny. I really liked those two scenes I was referring to, but there's no doubt I felt uncomfortable watching them(which means they were effective).

Yup... I've watched it twice since we got the BR, the last time being just yesterday, and hey... I'd watch it again right now if my boyfriend put it on.

There's a difference between a full frontal male shot and a torso female shot, but for the record I have no interest in seeing a full frontal female shot in any movie I plan to watch multiple times or recommend to visitors either. FSM would be a good date movie but it's too damn risky to watch the unrated version with someone that hasn't seen it before simply because of that scene. I plan to get rid of that BD somehow, if they release an edited version I'll pick it up.

I feel like I've walked into a weird G-rated alternate universe. Nudity is a thing of life. Have none of you had a significant other come home when you weren't fully dressed? Did you immediately put clothes on? GASP! I'm naked! What would the world think of you...

You're applying way more drama to this in the defense of this movie than it deserves or is warranted. It's simple, like it or not men and women are different, women have two controversial body parts to put on screen, men have one (plus one to both if you count the rear). The penis scene in FSM means you can't show it or recommend the movie to someone without either taking a risk or knowing their morality. FSM was funny, really, but it's not the next Titanic or Gone With the Wind, I'm not going to recommend it to half the people I know or anyone I work with in the office on that basis alone. Watching it with a date that goes to Church every Sunday is a game of Russian roulette.

No it isn't the greatest movie ever or anything like that but it certainly isn't a movie for anyone who is not an adult. I doubt any very religious people would be interested in watching any of the movie anyway. Surely adults know what male (and female) body parts look like and I believe everyone has them. I don't get it but everyone is different I guess.

I laughed when I saw the nudity, though I was forewarned and knew it was coming in time to prepare defenses. The nudity was a part of the theatrical cut, as well, can't really think of much for differences between unrated and regular, having seen them both.

I just don't get why a penis bugs everyone. If you've really never seen porn, fine, I can maybe believe that. You still have a penis yourself. It doesn't kill to look at your own o.o.

Unless you're a female. Honestly, I don't see what the big deal is either. It's not like he was walking around with raging wood on or anything. Working in the medical profession you get desinsitized to crotches I guess.
