We needed an official steelbook for The Avengers as a USA release because all we've gotten is the Best Buy Viva metalpak.
This is a long time overdue.

Well, it would be nice to replace my BB metalpak.
It's showing it's age.

Plus, hate Mondo steelbooks, so a nice poster art steelbook would be a welcome change.

Disney is not supporting 4K for catalog titles. That said, I'm glad Avengers is finally having a steelbook. Will definitely get it, unless is godawful comic art.

Is this confirmed from insider sources or Disney or are we just assuming based on their current output?

Avengers 4 comes out in May, so yeah, definitely a cash in for the new movie.

That said, I'm interested in these if the artwork is good. Especially since I missed out on the first Avengers steel/metal. I did find the UK one for $20 used.

It’s been Disney’s business model, as far as home video is concerned, for quite awhile. They are typically slower to upgrade their back catalog, and like to see the market develop, would be my guess.
Not gonna lie, 4k Star Wars trilogies has me drooling in anticipation.

If it has the same art as the MetalBox I would be happy.

Yeah, I'm not sure if this is going to be a 4k release, but I find it hard to believe that Disney isn't planning to release past titles in 4k. If there is an opportunity to make money, they will take it. Hopefully sooner rather than later, but I have enough movies to buy anyways in the meantime. I'm trying to get all the new Marvel steelbooks so hopefully I like the cover art of this one.

The grades may exist, it's just a matter of if/when we'll ever see them.

And when it comes to stuff like Marvel and Star Wars, it's more "when" than "if."
