Just received this and sampled a few scenes from the first episode. It looks fabulous!

Edit: I initially thought that the subtitles were forced, but that's not the case. Sorry for the confusion!

What about the episodes opening scenes? Do the BDs have the original (English) version or the French one?

Always manage to catch it when it's on. Hopefully a UK release will follow, but might have to go for this one.

The episodes begin with Angela saying "Tonight, on 'Murder, She Wrote'..." as they did when originally broadcast, giving viewers a preview of what's to come. Then the opening follows, which is the same except that "Arabesque" replaces "Murder, She Wrote" on the leather bound book (although she still types "Murder, She Wrote" in English on the typewriter). The yellow credits are all in French. I didn't find any of those things bothersome, but others may. It's great to have this show on Blu-ray looking so good.

Is the english audio PCM or HD mono / stereo ? Or is it dvd quality dolby digital?

I'm not much of an audiophile, but the main menu lists the audio as 2.0 DTS-HD Master Audio.
