Netflix likely signed a lengthy exclusivity deal. If we get a blu-ray the wait will like be much longer than the wait on a regular released movie.

I'd say that a home media release for the US is likely, it's the rest of the world I'm worried about since it sounds like Netflix has all rights to the film overseas. This is a different scenario to Cloverfield. But if Paramount kept the distribution rights for that, maybe they did for this too. Unlikely but possible.

Seems like to much interference from the studio with the whole Netflix thing.
It seems that studios interfere way too much.

What is a good example when studio interference improved a movie over what the director wanted?

When I first saw the Ex Machina trailer, I thought it was Natalie Portman. But now she's in Garland's follow up. Kinda funny.

Dumping Cloverfield Paradox on Netflix was a great move by Paramount (it would have bombed).

I can't think on one myself but Heaven's Gate is an example of lack of studio interference.

I would safely predict a June (2018) Blu-ray release for Annihilation here in the States.

I decided to rip out the nice leather recliner and take it home with me..also got a re-admission ticket as a consolation.

My showing of Wonder Woman 3D was out of focus and they came in and announced that they'd give a voucher for a later showing. I told them just restart it over and they looked at each other like "Can we do that?" So they walkied to a manager and said "Yup, we can do that"

The exact same thing happened to me when I tried to see Cars 3 in 3D except it was too far into the movie for them to start it over so I took my voucher and left.

Best ever was when jack reacher came out
I came 15 mins late and used a free ticket. Movie never started so i got a free ticket the one you can use on imax films too as well as go see a different film right then for free and a free popcorn
