Hey all,

Ever worry about those lying on the shelf for a while being defective and past the return date guarantee? I recall having two defective discs but both times something told me to watch them quickly so I didn't lose out. A premonition?

watched The Mummy (2017) in 3d last night and i thought the 3d is nice, it was to my liking, the 3d is basically DOA, no pop-outs, the 3d works well in the plane crash sequence, the stuff in the tunnels and underground spaces have nice 3d to it, same for the forest stuff however it does get a bit dark in the forest scenes.

Wished they did more with the 3d.

And at least Universal included a Dolby Atmos (TrueHD 7.1 core) track on 3d disc, the 7.1 sound is very good.

As for the movie, it was fun, i really don't get the hate for movie, i enjoyed the CGI it was mostly well done, the Zero-G plane crash sequence i really enjoyed, it does have it's problems but i found it a fun popcorn movie and Tom Cruise still doing his own stunts, come on what more do you want.

Genesis: Paradise Lost 3D (5 Disc set)

Watched:

Dragon Nest: Warrior’s Dawn 3D - Surprisingly, I LOVED this movie. It kept my whole family entertained from start to finish and I was left wanting more! The the storyline is quit contrived - basically Lord of the Rings meets Final Fantasy, but if you enjoy fantasy films like Lord of the Rings and are fascinated by dragons I would highly recommend adding this to your 3D collection. Although the over all plot was derivative they managed to mix just the right elements and managed to throw in a few new twists. The animation was GORGEOUS, especially the scenery and dragons, and very realistic (there are several scenes when the wing is blowing a characters hair and it looks so real). There weren’t many pop-outs but the 3D was strong and really helped to bring this fantasy world to life. The action was Street Fighter meets Matrix meets anime with some really cool slow-mo fighting scenes. We’ve already talked about watching it again.

I looked for TWO YEARS to find a Region A 3D version with a slipcover and even that was tricky because 3D is not mentioned on the front cover of the slip nor artwork. It is only mentioned in a small blurb on the back.the other weird thing is that you are offered three different options:

1.) English
2.) French
3.) North America

I’m not sure what differentiates “North America” from the others and it makes me wonder which country it came from. I assumed Canada but if so, why bother with the redundant NA version. All give you both 2D & 3D options on a single disc

I just bought it as well. I didn't think it was in 3D until you look at the back cover and it says that you'll get the 3D bonus of the movie! Thanks again for letting us know Shaggy! And the price wasn't bad either.

Thanks, I had no idea the US release had 3D—thought it had to be imported. Ordered from Target for same price since I don’t have Prime but do have the Red Card for free shipping (looks like Walmart also has the same price)

I remember getting Dragon Nest: Warriors' Dawn on release day at same time that i was picking up San Andreas in 3d at Best Buy, and i didn't know that it was a blu ray 3d title until i looked at the spine and the back of the case and noticed the blu ray 3d logo on both the spine and back cover.

Hi Shaggy,

You're some salesperson. Never heard of this until now but always trust your judgment. Then read how others loved it. Saw the trailer. Sae on Amazon the back including the 3D bonus.

Got a used copy from eBay for $8.00.

How much percentage you getting from each unit sold tonight?

I just saw this was available on Amazon US. They don’t mention the 3D so I had been looking at importing it from other counties, none of which had English language or subtitles. Please let me know if yours come with slipcovers. If so, I wasted a lot of time!!!

I got it for cheap as well which made it even a bigger surprise because I wasn’t expecting much. Hope y’all enjoy it and glad I could help!

Just watched I Robot.

Already saw it on cable and enjoyed the film but the 3D made it far much better.

Which brings up a point. Blu-ray.com panned the 3D so I was expecting it to be very flat. Not the case at all. It had very good depth and a rich looking picture.

Perhaps there was no creativity behind it. The visual seemed consistent. Just depth with objects and characters properly placed where they should be.

Which didn't bother me. The 3D could have exploited itself more in the action sequences but did not deserve the poor 2.4 3D rating it got from this website or called lackluster. The depth immersed me into the film and definitely made an impact compared to watching it flat.

Reference quality? No. But not a turn off either.

So weird that the 3D is just mentioned as an after thought!?!? My (Canadian?) slipcover doesn’t even mention 3D on the spine.

There are still so many titles I haven’t purchased yet because I’m holding out to find one with a slip. If I confirm a movie never came with a slip ANYWHERE or a steelbook then I’ll bite.

People slate I, Robot 3D as if it's as bad as a German autoconversion but it's much better than that. I found that the expanded aspect ratio combined with the 3D really made the film that much more immersive than the 2D version could ever hope to be. Sure, it's not reference quality, but if I'm going to watch the film again, it's going to be in 3D.

That was the case with Jaws 3D also. It was advertised as more or less a bonus feature

Dang Joe... wasn't going to buy this one but now I'm going to have to see it for myself. This one was on sale during X-mas for like $7.99. Let me see if I can get it for this cheap still. Thanks!

Those prices are too much IMO. Hoping to find them in a second hand store.

Used is of course cheaper. Regrettably many 3d titles have had their prices increase recently as they become harder to get. Esp. true for those currently OOP.
