Any chance of the Parent Trap remake getting a blu-ray release? - Blu-ray Forum

I can't imagine Disney would put this out on blu-ray considering Lindsey's constant trouble with the law. I'd reckon they wouldn't want to associate themselves with her at this point. Still, I loved this movie as a kid.

I'd be down for a nice Double Feature, with Hayley Mills' original 1961 version, along with LiLo's 1998 remake.

I would much prefer the original 1961 Walt Disney's ''The Parent Trap!" with Hayley Mills, Maureen O'Hara & Brian Keith -- and packaged by itself, please (don't like my classics paired with pale remakes - no offense to Lindsay lovers).

I'm in for the original 1961! I love these old Disney Family Features!

I just did a little digging into the bowels of the Internet Twilight Zone and it seems the Remake has just surfaced at 720p. Maybe that's a good thing?

Holy necrothread Batman and I agree, even though I still prefer the Danielle Harris/Katherine Heigl film.

I have no doubt that the Disney Movie Club will eventually release the original Parent Trap as one of their "yellow-bordered" exclusive Blu-rays in the next year or two, as they're slowly working their way through some of their classic live-action flicks. I'd still like to see a Double Feature with the remake as well, though DMC (annoyingly) rarely ever does multi-feature sets with their exclusives (Davy Crockett & ...?).

Then, after we finally get Parent Trap, I want Watcher in the Woods next please!
