Well, that’s disappointing to hear, with my 88 disc already shipped.

From one perspective Bill seemingly tossed DF a hot potato.
Could you imagine the firestorm if CR has issued this Blu?

Perhaps this was BananaMan's intention all along,
and we just played right into it?

All that we need next is DF and Bananaman cutting opposing promos and will be perfect to set up the inevitable wrestling match.

Looked at Offerings, motion looked fine to me. Did a few spot checks at random parts of movie but if someone has time index they think is problematic feel free to post.

Regarding filtering, there is some light DNR applied but the picture still has a filmic look to it so not overly problematic nor waxy. Overall an adequate presentation IMO.

Can't be too much of an idiot if he already has Kino distributing his label.
The Kino distribution deal, as with everything else regarding Dark Force, was almost certainly made possible by Code Red. DeFalco's only actual involvement in his own label is (a) shipping product ordered from his cartel store (b) operating the Dark Force Facebook page, and (c) providing his own two films, CHAOS and THE BACKLOT MURDERS, for release.

So? Regardless he still got his brand new label distributed by Kino.

My point is...he didn't. Bill Olsen did.

And if he's cutting ties with Code Red for real then I doubt his titles will still be distributed though Kino.

Another Dark Force update tonight.

Quote:
STATE OF THE DARK UNION ADDRESS:

The 2nd pressing of THE HOUSE ON THE EDGE OF THE PARK retro drive-in double feature in the NEW BOX with numbered spine will be available at the Dark Force online store next Wednesday March 28. It will also be available at Amazon and the other major stores but there is no guarantee when ordering which box you will receive. You can choose which one you want at the Dark Force store. The first 2 drive-in releases sold extremely well at the stores and are nearing sell out.

After these runs sell out we will no longer be fulfilling these releases through KINO. There will be no further pressings. Dark Force is currently consummating a new deal with a major distributor that services Amazon and the other major store chains for it's upcoming releases. We will make a big announcement regarding this soon.

Meanwhile, it is official we will be announcing the 4th Retro Drive-In Double Feature release by next week. The drive-in series has been a huge success and overall very well received. Dark Force has opted to continue the series.

So their deal with code red and kino is definitely ending. Wonder who they are getting to distribute them now.

I wouldn't assume code red partnership is ending. I don't think dark force has any significant amount of content licenses to sell without code red and apparently they are continuing the drive in series with vol4 announcement next week. Probably just switching from Kino to another distro like MVD etc.

Does this guy realize that consummate is primarily used in the context of boning? Nobody says, "I consummated that deal" because you think of sex, not signing a contract.

No need to license, Walt has confirmed (as has technically Jared) that THTV was not licensed from its owners...

But hey keep going about this fantastic new label that you are so satisfied with.

They mentioned MVD and in the very same day, two hours later, claimed they would be staying with Kino. So, they likely don't even know. I'm sure Kino straight dropped their ass like a bad habit.
