this shows that some people are simply not affected by the economy's downturn. either that or they're in denial. either way $350,000 is a lot to spend on one room when some people's houses are worth less than that.

Which is easier - replacing the gas or getting a new car. Get the car first - and then buy the accessories. This man is doing it right! Both are important but your speakers are the only thing you really hear other than the room itself. Source components are very important but if the equipment can't duplicate the source - I don't care how good your source is - by the time it gets to the sorry gear, it will be sorry sound and picture out.

By the way - what other systems have you seen that are better than this one (other than the one's I mentioned - I've heard most of the stuff here - the JBL system was originally used by IMAX) I've heard this type of system and its sisters. Get the list together and lets take a peak. I'm very curious now
Kind of like buying a Kuro for 5k and buying a 500 dollar reciever with bookshelf speakers that cant play lower that 80hz .. why buy the best display and have enrty level sound???

$350,000 for the entire home theater is nothing. You can buy this beautiful WAVAC Audio Lab SH-833 monoblock amplifier for $350,000. For home theater, you need at least 5 of them: 5 x $350,000 = $1,750,000.

With 5 of these beauties, you don't need a TV/projector or speakers. You can just look at the amplifiers and enjoy them.

Big Daddy

It is amazing how much one can spend on this stuff. And I worried about spending $1,800 for a Blu player

Again, gorgeous work. It's amazing what you can do with concrete. I always thought natural stone was the way to go for flooring, but I'll definitely have to consider an acid floor if we decide to build another house...

Actually, that's not my screen in the picture I posted earlier-- that's Wolfgang Meyer's home theater in Germany. I have a 10' scope screen in mine. My next will definitely be bigger though...

If that amp costs so much, why do you need five of them? You would think it could do everything at that price point.

Okay so I just added "Get Acid Stained Floors" to my list of things to get before I die. They are a thing of beauty in the pics, and I'm sure they look 10 times better in person.

They really do. A photo simply do not do an acid floor justice.

Here is a photo that did come out great

Perhaps rich people enjoy getting ripped off. Then rubbin it in everyones face that their home theater room costs more then your house. Even though they dont even have a projector for a complete HT experience.

There will be a projector. The installer told me it will be a dVision 1080p to be viewed on a 150 inch screen.

I hope I got the projector's name correct.

thats like pumping low octane 86 gas in a million dollar super car...let alone the low bit rate of sound at 400 kbps of dvd's...so lets add water in the Gas!..
i've seen much more better set-up's on here with People who install there own Gear & more knowledgeable then whats going on here...
yeah nice seating,flooring..but the gear isnt going to be put in its full Uses how it should be,Sad...

the people who've spent 20 grand+ are Laughing at this set-up and keeping to themselfs,They know already it isnt comparable to theirs and know $350'000.00K got flushed down...I've seen more better set-ups for cheaper,i can only wish one of their grand kids will plug-in a PS3 later on!.

you are naive to think that 1- this guy wont have a blu-ray player in his set-up and 2- you think that Denon is going to be used to power those speakers. it is basically an expensive switching unit.
