See, that's the kind of clever pun stuff that's more in line with Criterion.

It does involve a drought and California (like California raisins).

...and a vineyard.

Who likes grapes? The Romans. When do people go to the beach? When they’re on holiday. Obviously, it’s

Great guess and fits the image perfectly. "Tender" grapes would need sun tan lotion.

A was thinking A Raisin in the Sun but that film is still owned by Columbia Pictures. Our Vines Have Tender Grapes is an MGM film so it's much more easily attainable for the collection. Plus Edward G. and Margaret O'Brien, I'll take it!

Criterion has licensed several titles from Sony over the years, so no reason they couldn't license another.

Sun tanning causes wrinkles. Wrinkled grapes are raisins. I'm sticking with A Raisin in the Sun. Of course I could be wrong.

And I own quit a few of them too so I'm not sure why I assumed they'd be harder to get.

I do hope it's Our Vines Have Tender Grapes though. We need Edward G. in the collection.

All seriousness aside, I would be very happy if the clue was for A Raisin in the Sun.

I thought it was obviously A Raisin in the Sun at first glance, but upon reflection that clue would indicate "Raisins in the Sun" because it's not just one grape it's an entire bunch, so it might not be so obvious after all.

Maybe they're on a beach in California, which might mean it's a blu-ray of this:

The obvious assumption is that those are grapes, but what if they were currants? Like in this pic I just found that looks curiously like the drawing

..And how are they feeling under the sun?

I give you...

Also, Criterion happens to have a phantom page for the director:
