I own this on Blu and while it's not an Oscar winner by any means. It's entertaining and a decent film to say the least. I think critics were way to harsh on it. But, I will admit my biggest problems with it were Pacino's hair. I remember critics saying they should change the name to "88 minutes of Pacino's Hair" and it's true. His hair was out of control. In addition to that, the title in and of itself simply suggests its a movie and everything works out in 88 Minutes which is kinda hoaky. I enjoyed it for what it was. Righteous Kill is better in my opinion, but it seems like Pacino is losing his touch late in his career. He's been off his game.

I do not feel he his losing his touch. An actor can only do so much with a crapy script. I think he did a great job on 88 Minutes and Righteous Kill even though the story for both was, well... they stunk.
