The existing Blu-ray looks good and sounds good in terms of the technical presentation, but this film is begging for some great supplementary extras.
It doesn't need the already made documentary but can have a Romero tribute featurette about how he been an impactful director among the horror community, interviews, tv spots, trailers, radio spots, poster and still gallery, deleted scenes and 4K or 2K restoration.

This is the only severed hand with a mind of its own movie I really like

Also, no one's mentioned Looker with Albert Finney. And I wouldn't mind a CE of Coma under the Shout Select banner.

You don't like Evil Dead 2? Idle Hands?

The severed hand bit in ED2 was like watching a three stooges cartoon. Good for a laugh but the Oliver Stone film really made my skin crawl. Never saw Idle Hands.

When discussing the prospect of further announcements next Friday (13th), it slipped my mind that for the first time Scream potentially have access to films in the Friday the 13th series (Jason Goes to Hell, Jason X, Freddy vs Jason). So what better time to announcement one (hopefully the unrated version of JGTH) or more of them? The next Friday the 13th falls in July, which almost certainly puts it too close to SDCC to make big announcements, so this might be the better occasion for it.

with this WB deal, Some films have already been announced but here's some films I'm hoping to see
Warner Brothers:
William Castle Collection
The Lost Boys
Creepshow
Gremlins 1 & 2
House of Dark Shadows
Night of Dark Shadows (Extended Version)
The Road Warrior
Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome
Deadly Friend (Must have the Director's Cut)
Eyes of a Stranger
Killer Party
The Witches
Valentine

Warner TV:
Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark
Don't Go to Sleep

New Line Pictures:
A Nightmare on Elm Street Collection
Poison Ivy
Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III

HBO Films:
The Hitcher
Cast a Deadly Spell
The Changeling

If SF gets another deal with Universal
Universal Pictures:
Play Misty for Me
Child's Play 2
Child's Play 3
Bride of Chucky
Seed of Chucky
Dr. Giggles
Fear
The Frighteners

Universal TV:
The Dark Secret of Harvest Home
Duel
Something Evil
Deadly Lessons
Midnight Offerings

I'm not sure if WB and Universal have the rights to all these films since a lot of them were co-productions and might be owned by other producers. I know that Spelling-Goldberg Productions are very difficult to get and thats why most TV Movies havent had a proper Blu-Ray release. But we can atleast hope for the future!!!

Don't forget about Killdozer, Critters movies, Cobra (it's action-horror-thriller combo), End of Days, Bone Collector, Cat's Eye, IT 1990 etc.

We all want to see the original cut of Deadly Friend and see what Craven intended before studio meddling.

Dr Giggles is owned by WB as it was distributed by Universal in theaters as it's a Larco production and i bet they have their eyes on it.

Creepshow... My favorite horror film.

With the amazing Just Desserts, I'm not sure how much could be improved upon in terms of extras. Maybe more behind the scenes set footage or some of Savini's television promotional appearances like he did on the Letterman show...

Isolated score with all of the library car aloud music as well as Harrison's synth score would be welcomed.

The main thing is a new 4K transfer to really bring out the garish colors. There's also some telecine wobble in the WB Blu presentation.

Isn’t there a commentary on the UK release?

My biggest holy grail. Nothing would make me happier than a CE with both cuts, but if the DC is not available anymore I think they'll probably release the theatrical cut anyway.

As mentioned above, the 129-minute DC of Night of Dark Shadows would be a fantastic release. I've read that the footage and most of the audio was found (and in good shape) and offered to Warner before they released their Blu-ray, but they apparently declined to do anything with it. Scream could work wonders with this. House of Dark Shadows is obviously the better and more reputable film (as things stand), but I don't know how many extras Scream could pull together for a CE of it.

Of course, I'm assuming that any WB title Scream do elect to double-dip on will be a CE, it's possible they won't go that route but then I'd question the logic of them choosing to re-do lower-profile WB titles.

Thy won’t do The Shining. Or The Exorcist. Those movies are I guess “too critically acclaimed” and probably belong on Criterion more.

Yes, there is a commentary on the UK Creepshow. I don't have the blu but I have the DVD and it's excellent.

That would be a very welcome addition.

But I can't stress enough how important a new 4K scan would be for Creepshow, a film whose colors most closely rival that of Suspiria itself.

The bonus features would be nice to have aggregated into one set, but the transfer is where the effort needs to go.

Shining is probably going to be Criterion if their release of Barry Lyndon is any indication. Exorcist might not be on a boutique level, though I can see Exorcist II on Scream Factory.

Yeah I’ve actually been asking for The Exorcist II on Scream. It’s not a good movie but there’s just something about it I like.

And dammit if you can release Robocop 3 on Scream you can release The Exorcist II.

A documentary on the troubled production of Exorcist II would be fascinating!
