Nice, first Second Run now Third Window. Glad to hear Arrow are helping out in these situations by offering their services as distributor, and therefore maintain the current diversity of the UK market. I do wonder if other labels will manage the same though - aren't New Wave Films also affected? Possibly Peccadillo, maybe Axiom or Dogwoof?

I can't think why it wouldn't, but maybe because Second Run already have their own webstore they decided not to put them on Arrow's store too (especially since they were usually cheaper from Arrow).

This should also do good things for the visibility and sales of TWF titles, and I think it sits really nicely alongside the (mostly) older Asian films that Arrow put out themselves. Excellent news all round.

I don't think he was talking down to you at all, don't be overly sensitive, it's the internet. You made some pretty far out statements earlier on in this thread that you have now backtracked on. Seems to me that Cinematt is just suggesting that you don't predict the downfall of a label when you don't have the facts.

Honestly, you seem to take everything as an attack, even when you have been the one instigating. I think I saw somewhere in this forum that you said you were in your forties, I think you need to develop a thicker skin.

Chill out a bit, this place is a lot more friendly if you do.

Just preordered Whispering Star/The Sion Sono from Amazon and it says arriving the 21st but the release date is the 16th, anybody else got this?

Ignore the amazon estimated delivery times, they have been way off for a while now, i ordered something the other day and it came 4 days before they said it would and arrived via prime even though i chose free delivery.

I've always presumed it's a psychological thing. They tell you it's expected on the 21st so when it turns up on the 18th you're supposed think "Ooh, it arrived early. Thanks Amazon UK!" One of the many reasons I don't use them.
