You would think they’d both be available by now. I’ve been lobbying Criterion to acquire MORVERN CALLAR for blu-ray for at least 6 years running. Literally an email every other month. Crickets. Frustrating because my Palm DVD rotted years ago, and the streaming version (at least the one on Amazon Prime) is missing the crucial dialogue track in the final scene (Morvern’s reunion with Lanna). After their glowing RATCATCHER release, I just assumed Criterion gave more of a shit about Ramsay’s legacy.

As for YOU WERE NEVER REALLY HERE, I finally got to see it over the weekend. It’s another masterpiece for her. I can’t stop thinking about the audacious final scene. Best ending to a movie since, well, MORVERN CALLAR.
