I have a feeling they won't be using standard Blu-Ray cases for this though, which means I won't have a spot for them in my collection. Probably a good thing in case the GF wants to watch a movie. Maybe I should get her to send some of these to me? haha

I was reading over a amazon and the hd dvd guys are saying the coating on blurays cannot be refinished. If you get a scratch the disc cannot be fixed Is this true?

Ok in the almost impossible chance of actually getting a scratch on your blu ray, which with scratch resistant coating is nigh impossible, you can get it repaired.

what they were saying was, a videostore renting blurays had some discs come back very marked up they were unplayable and could not be refinished. So they had to be thrown out. Hmmmmmmm Is this more bullshit from the hddvd side

Sounds like it, I've taken a pair of scissors to my blu rays, scraping the top of one, was quite unable to scratch it, it was the demo disc so no worries, to actually put a mark on it you would have to jab it hard, or really dig in, like you are intent on marking it up
