I wasn't sure what to do with my Offerings magnet so I stuck it to a metal light switch faceplate near my desk at work. I thought it might scare away the person who is turning it off at night (it's supposed to be on all night).

I hate to say this but i agree with Ruined on this one.
These slipcovers (as well as any other gimmicks that come with movies such as magnets) can become extremely valuable, especially if it's genre films / horror.

Here is what was sold on ebay as "slipcover only" sorted by highest price first.
I see a "The Howling" Slip sold for $67, "Day Of The Dead" Slip sold for $45, "Liquid Sky" Slip for $42. Usually they sell for something between $5-15 if less rare.
So, unless you have money to throw into your garbage, i would keep stuff like that if i were you.

I couldn’t take it anymore and had to unlike the Dark Forces Facebook page. I’ve handled Bill’s ridiculousness over the years, but this DeFalco clown is insufferable! His narcissistic arrogance is just too much! It’s going to really pain me when he gets a release I actually give a damn about, and I have to order one of his films, from Diabolik of course.

Every day he posts about how his faulty discs are collector’s items, and how they are selling for so much money on eBay, even though most of these genre discs are because people don’t know where to buy them. He constantly defends the Carrier release, even using Ruined’s review like it means a damn thing, as proof that it’s a great disc, ignoring everyone else on here that disagrees. What kind of company constantly promotes scalping and selling faulty discs!? He recently even had the nerve to announce that he’ll be getting more Carrier discs, but selling them for scalper prices. What a sales technique, release faulty discs and instead of pulling them and offering replacements, you instead call them collector’s items and sell them at inflated prices. Sadly people have been gullible enough to fall for it and let him get away with it. Thankfully Walt from Scorpion called him out on this, only for DeFalco and his buddy to vulgarity insult Walt in several posts after.

When he’s not trying to scalp his own discs he’s posting about his top sellers on his site, which is supposed to mean something? Who cares which four titles out of your catalog of twenty are selling? Brag when you have the top spot on Amazon or something, but the fact that you conned some fans into buying your faulty discs on your site doesn’t really mean anything.

Finally, when he’s not doing either of those things, he posts terrible videos that do nothing but make himself and Bill look bad, calling out other labels, complaining about fans, and trying to defend his shoddy releases.

I’m sorry, but the guys seems like a immature kid. Grow up! Wrestling isn’t real and calling yourself Demon when you’re in your 30s/40s is just embarrassing and sad!

100% agree, I cannot believe someone is letting this clown release their movies. He is far worse then Bill. I am also questing why people are giving him money, are you guys actually listening to what he is saying?? I have never heard someone so annoying and misinformation about film. Now I'll wait for Ruined to come to the rescue and save his loved one.

Oh man, so now Carrier price will not be increased with 2nd batch BUT there is a yet to be revealed Carrier Collectors set coming out to be unveiled tonight. Must admit it is fun to keep up with all this stuff!

Maybe a Carrier blu DC + Carrier DVD TC package?

How many have they actually sold and at what price? Just because some moron asks for a high price does not mean anything. Same for amazon...I have seen sellers asking for $2,000 for an OOP movie that can be purchased for $20.

Nobody is going to be paying any kind of scalper price for a gimped release. Maybe a sucker or two but that’s it.

I have nothing vs DF...he could very well be a great dude. But come on . Maybe he discovered that releasing (or selling) defective discs with bad transfers is best? And, BM with his FAKE “its OOP” lol. Does anyone really believe Bill actually places anything OOP? Are there customers out there naive enough to believe that .

The troll comments/marketing do make for an interesting storyline, but in this business...I really doubt its sustainable news in the long run. Maybe a good reason why Bill sells 500 copies and other labels sell 5000?

Yeah...in the DF Cartel The Carrier is #1 .

On Facebook, I don't “like” many of the labels with which I do a lot of business (Code Red, Vinegar Syndrome, Dark Force, Severin, etc.), simply because I don't necessarily want to advertise to my friends and family that I purchase titles like Violence in a Women's Prison, Lucifer's Women, or Emmanuelle and the Deadly Black Cobra.

I'll visit the respective Facebook pages of these sites and lurk around every now and then, but that's about it.

I mean, it's pretty much common knowledge to my friends and family that my movie tastes can sometimes veer into weirdness, and they are all aware of my Letterboxd account where I routinely write glowing reviews of exploitation titles. Still, there's a line of overkill that I don't necessarily want to cross.

I prefer to keep our interactions confined to this safe place, Blu-ray.com, which is basically an Alcoholics Anonymous for fans of obscure horror or exploitation.

I “like” the Scream Factory page on Facebook, but Scream Factory is basically Horror for Normal People. It's like a gateway drug into this sort of madness.

I don't care enough to spend the time putting things on eBay or shipping items out. Collectors are welcome to dig thru my trash though.

Walt totally destroyed DeFalco with one sentence...Dark Force reversed course on that price scalping idea faster than you can say "tap-out". Just goes to show you can flex muscles and wearily punch a boxing bag but still end up submitting to an old school real-deal label head like Walt at the end of the day. Much props to Walt for calling this out!

Before Bill pulled Necromancy, someone had bought up a bunch of copies and was scalping them on eBay IIRC. I wonder who that person was.

At this stage of the game...anyone who is even a little informed knows that Bill’s “OOP” is just a way to artificially create demand. The discs will show up sooner or later and he will try to sell them for more. How many times is he going to do it and actually find enough suckers to hook?

Bill trully has a “great eye” for finding interesting and entertaining movies that people like. I am sure in person he is very likable as the amount of actors who agree to do interviews proves that. Fact is that Bill trolls his customers and he joined up with The Demon who is much better at trolling people.

Bill has issues with all his business partners...so it seems. This joining of forces by Banana Man and The Demon will not last long.

Jeff (I forget his last name) - he's a collector/ebay seller who's been around on movie forums for ages.

I don't know about $25 but movie themed collectibles like this frequently sell for $15 on ebay. I will sometimes pre-order to get the trinket then dump it on ebay to get $15 back.

I find DF marketing harmless and fun, and I do think it plays well to collectors even tho a lot of its BS.

And FYI.. The last auction of THE CARRIER blu on eBay went for $35

“He’s in very dangerous territories” hahahahaha, get a life! It’s like he’s stuck in his fantasy wrestling world. It’s one thing to do that act in the ring, but when you’re running a business threatening people and talking crap isn’t the best way to gain customers.

If he wants his future to be complaining about only selling 300 copies then keep it up, he’s on his way to becoming the next Bill. Personally if I was starting a company though I’d be trying to mimic the companies that are selling thousands of copies of their titles, but maybe that’s just me.
