Downey's head was never truly attached to the armor, it was ridiculous. And that money shot of Thor with the axe towards the end was pretty rough.

But honestly aside from that, my only real complaint with the movie is that it just feels so incomplete. I really can't think of anything else that bothered me. Probably gonna see it again tomorrow, second viewing without all the hype should help. Everything on Vormir might be the best 10 minutes of the MCU, ever. I was stunned.

What did everyone think of the movie's title in the end credits turning to dust and blowing away? I thought that was inspired. As was "Thanos Will Return".

yeah, that scene is gold. Great writing and performances, but I was not expecting that third character either. i'm amazed that was kept secret. i'm hoping we get confirmation of who the voice was because it sounded an awful lot like
[Show spoiler]Hugo Weaving.
(yes, i'm still using spoiler tags in the spoiler thread, deal with it, ha!)

According to Wiki it wasn't
[Show spoiler]Weaving
, it was someone else. I could tell the voice sounded a little different, but it was a solid impersonation.

He was played by Ross Marquand, name was in the credits and looked familiar so I had to look it up.

Turns out he's one of the characters from TWD.

WOW!!!
[Show spoiler]If I had to nitpick anything out of this work of art, it would be how the hulk was portrayed as a coward after his 1 on 1 meeting with thanos. Outside of that,
I need a second viewing to absorb it’s glory....

I don't think any of the shows will tie in much since there is no exact date, it will all be before IW.

The enhange between Tony and Peter Parker during the latters death reminded me of Fred’s death on Angel (without the Illyria part).

The MCU still culling from Whedon’s body of work.

One other positive I forgot to mention was the 3D. The 7PM IMAX showing I saw only offered 3D, but this time it was actually worth it. It looked very nice in that format. And surprisingly, the entire movie had the expanded ratio, not just a few scenes. Looks like I'll have to import the 3D Blu-ray if Disney refuses to release it domestically like they did with Ragnarok(and apparently Black Panther).
During the credits it said it was filmed with IMAX cameras, so I'm sure IMAX is the best way to see it. I saw it tonight in GTX, but have a monday ticket at noon for IMAX 3D! Can't wait to see it again.

Such a great movie, can't wait to watch again!

Scenes that got a huge reaction from the crowd...

Cap appearing out of the shadows in Scotland
Cap and Black Panther running next to each other
Red Skull
Thor, Rocket, and Groot arriving in Wakanda
Tony getting stabbed
Bucky and Rocket shooting the outriders together

I'm still shook.

So I feel that everyone that turned to ash is safe. They won't die. Its the ones that didn't turn to ash that are going to get it except for Dr. Strange and probably a few others. I think Strange is going to get his time stone back and reverse time or something to bring everyone back. I think this will happen after Thanos is defeated and a few of the Averngers have died. Theres going to be some kind of twist where he can't reverse the time of the deaths of the ones that didn't turn to ash..

And you're an idiot if you're reading this thread before seeing the movie.

Hats off to Marvel for planning Deadpool 2 perfectly! They knew every one was going to walk out of Infinity Wars in shock and an uneasy feeling. They are going to let us digest it for a few weeks and then give us all the pick me up we all need with Deadpool 2!

I loved this movie. As soon as I got home, I ordered tickets to see it again on Saturday.

As far as I am concerned, they very much delivered on the build up to this. I was very impressed with how well they seemed to balance having all of these characters together in one film. I actually think they handled it better to an extent than the first Avengers, and a hell of a lot better than Age of Ultron, despite those films juggling fewer characters.

My only "complaint," and it's minor in the grand scheme of things, but still kind of annoying, is that they threw another wrench or two in the works that puts the amount of time between events into question.

In this movie, Tony, in reference to the events of the first Avengers movie, refers to those events happening 6 years ago. But in Spider-Man Homecoming, 8 years supposedly passed between the first Avengers and that film.

To further complicate this, they seem to specially refer to the events of Civil War having occurred about 2 years ago. The events of Spider-Man Homecoming seem to take place pretty much immediately after Civil War. So that means it should be roughly the 8 years referred to in Spider-Man Homecoming, plus roughly two more, for a total of a decade. Yet Tony refers to Avengers 1 as 6 years ago.

The other slight continuity issue that this also brings up, separate from the highly questionable math, is how Tony was going to have that press conference at the end of Homecoming to introduce Spider-Man as the newest Avenger, which Peter took as a test and turned down (this occurring after the events of Civil War). But in Infinity War, Tony seems to indicate that the Avengers pretty much disbanded following the events of Civil War. So that just seems odd to me.

In the grand scheme of things, these are minor gripes, but still loose strings that IMO could have been easily avoided.

Except that Marvel Studios/Disney have little to do with that since Deadpool 2 is made by Fox.

I know the Disney buying Fox thing is in progress, but Disney still wouldn't have had any involvement with the production of Deadpool 2.

But what about Marvel? They have there hands in both the movies and I'm sure timed it on purpose? Everyone that I talked to has been wondering why Deadpool was coming out so close to Avengers? I think this movie answered our question.

not to be a downer, but this is kind of a disappointment considering they have been building towards it for ten years.

it's ballsy and dark, but not without its flaws.

[Show spoiler]the cgi/vfx distances me from the movie. people can say whatever they want about "how else would you do thanos?" but that doesn't really matter because it pulls you out of the movie. the action that is cgi... I would really be curious how it would look if it were scale models. and yes, I know there is no way to do some of the things realistically.... but when you see a fight that is just cg and you know that none of it real....

the time stone is such a cop out. there are some things that feel lazy that are just to try and move the plot forward. or stuff that seems kinda silly. ex: gamora and the soul stone. thanos giving gamora the reality stone when she is young. him changing reality after the stone. or can he do it because he has the space stone? I don't know. that might be my fault for not knowing what the stones do.
peter not killing gamora after she is captured by thanos. her telling nebula in a memory about the soul stone.

not having more hulk is a curious decision. sad thanos is laughable. the thanos face design I think is kinda terrible. I just don't like it.

it does seem like some of the stuff was entirely too predictable. breaking the movie in two, it ends just when you think it would.

I would say that it is the boldest, darkest ending in such a super mainstream movie... but the time stone will just reverse everything. so it's kinda pointless. it cheats the audience.

it's not all bad.

the planet with the soul stone is very cool. there are some great moments with the characters. drax kills it in every scene he is in. and that make up looks so good. which really just makes the thanos cg look worse. that scale... they had so much money in this movie. they could have done something better. I mean, dinkelage is great in that forced perspective. it's not even like uncanny valley... I just expect the cgi to be better in a $300 million movie.

most of the characters don't have a lot of screen time... but they still feel rushed. the opening hulk fight feels like it could have been longer.

I would personally say that civil war and guardians 2 are better movies. also, winter soldier.

even though it's now twenty years old, and kinda of a hipstery pick, I still say blade is my favorite marvel movie.

I disagree with the opening Hulk fight being to short. It really showed the audience how strong and powerful Thanos is. I really didn't know who Thanos was until this movie, but I know who the Hulk is and how strong he is and when Thanos kicked the Hulks butt in just a few minutes I was like OH SH*T! It really set the tone for Thanos! If the fight went longer, I think it would of lost feeling.
