It's been 7 years so I am sure people forgot about him. You could tell it wasn't HW in make up but a CG version of Skull.
The guys sitting next to me in the theater were huge comic book fans, and, every now and then, they would name a reference or something.
They all gasped in excitement and started cheering when Red Skull appeared on the screen, but I had no idea who it was right off the bat. Although I've seen Captain America: The First Avenger several times, it didn't click over in my head at first, and I had to ask them who it was.

I also had to ask them what the symbol (Captain Marvel) was after the post-credits scene.

At least I will.
There were near killings or fake killings of

1. Tony Stark
2. Thanos
3. Drax
4. Mantis
5. Vision

I might be missing a few. Combine that with all of the characters who disappeared at the end and will likely come back.... it was a little too much.

The post-credits scene was awesome.

I was expecting a comedic cooldown in the post-credits, after the dramatics that we had seen just before, but the post-credits scene amped up the intensity even more. The helicopter crashing into the building...oh man...

Did the suit come out of the reactor? Didn't notice that.

So many people keep complaining that this is half a film. I agree that it leaves a lot open, and ends with a cliffhanger, but at this point in the MCU, which films don't?! The main reason so many people feel the weight of the final moments to be a cop-out, is because the friggen bad guy wins. He accomplishes his mission, and basks in the glory of his success. It's a flawless ending, which is appropriately brutal and heart-wrenching. I am dying for the next Avengers flick, but I applaud the balls on Marvel Studios, for ending the film with this level of confidence.

I think the biggest complaint I have read is that so many characters died... which is not believable. So it actually hurts the ending because we know it can't stay like that.

If Thanks is going to win... I want him to really win and take out characters who will never come back. When I saw Black Panther disappear, I knew he was going to come back so it made the ending have a lot less meaning.

Ironically, it deviated from The Infinity Gauntlet comic version big time. Odin was still alive for this. Thor also had Mjolnir. Vision was white. Captain America has his shield. There's no Black Order or Guardians Of The Galaxy (other than Drax).

No Mephisto, Eros, Terraxia, Firelord, Rintrah, Pip, and Hank Pym in the movie.

Thanos doesn't go to Earth's Mightiest Heroes. They come to him at his shrine to Death.

The Mad Titan kills Namor, She-Hulk, Cyclops, Vision, Cloak (Terraxia kills Iron Man!!!), Nova, Thor, AND Quasar!

Summary of Dr Strange’s strategy: lose the battle, win the war. Can’t wait for the next installment.

The movie was fantastic but that whole ending sequence was insane. Seeing like 10+ heroes just turn to ash and fade away was something that I couldn't believe was happening in front of my eyes. Tom Holland's acting to fading away was fantastic, and Tony's reaction to having this all happen in front of him was powerful.

That CAPTAIN MARVEL distress call at the end had me really hyped and I can't wait for next year to see how this all wraps up!

When I saw The Empire Strikes Back in 1980, I knew that Han Solo would be released from the frozen carbonite during the next film and that things would turn out well, but the ending still messed me up.

I felt the same way after the ending of Avengers: Infinity War last night.

There is a difference between putting a guy in carbon and a character saying he is still alive.... and killing off half the cast and then bringing them back through time travel later on.

I am going to see this more than 2 times, but I am thinking Thanos dies and we don't see it.. He took some serious damage and I think the IG is broken or damaged as well. He completed his objective so there is no purpose for him anymore.

I'm pretty sure it did. Seeing it a second time today.

That is the only explanation for how he so willingly gave up the time stone. I still think Tony must be integral to that one and only scenario where they win.

I didn't see a huge gash in his chest, but if I remember correctly, the gauntlet did look fried. He still has all the stones though, so I'm thinking he can repair any injuries and restore the gauntlet. Will he need to go back to Nidavellir? Does he even care about any of that now?

How awesome was it to see Peter Dinklage!

That last shot of everyone defeated and heartbroken was rough. We know that people will return but I'm anxious to see who doesn't ever return.

That was do bad writing. The world is ending but Hawkeye and Ant-Man are not there. No way Hawkeye would sit that one out. There could have been better ways to keep them out of the main action but not come across as wimps.

I'm more surprised that people believed this wouldn't feel like half a film. For me, it felt like a great ending for this movie. The movie pretty much ended the same way that the comic began, which I thought was cool as could be. I couldn't have thought of a better ending if I had to.
