Because of the many sfx scenes best results would require finding the digital files again for these scenes and using them directly instead of rescanning film outs.

I can’t see why not. Makes you wonder why they just didn’t do that in th first place? I mean, it’s a pure trilogy that were all filmed fairly close to each other with a continuing story arc. It’s not like Star Wars or other series where the films were broken up by a lot of time or whatever.

It’d be like releasing just th first Back to the Future or something like that.

Just give us the damned trilogy, would ya? I’m waiting. Not buying the first one only. I have plenty of other things to watch. No pressure!

I'm happy with the first one as a standalone movie

Thought as much. Ill wait for the trilogy boxset (even though I don't really want to watch Revolutions again really!)

The Martian is the only one I can think of but that was them upgrading the 2K DI by splicing in 4K non-VFX footage, so not really the same.

Great news.

Now that we got the Matrix films sorted.

Here's hoping they release Constantine on 4K as well.

waiting for the complete trilogy is a no-brainer at this point.

I agree. There is plenty of other stuff to watch in the meantime, right? Unless some crazy good deals become available for the individual films.

The whole series will tear apart my house. Which I want anyway so I can rebuild into a stone house and 1in thick windows. Well, that all depends on how good JP is coming out next month. The T-Rex might tear it apart first. Lol

Fingers Crossed!!!

I'll buy them all separate, then get the box set later. That's how obsessed I am with these films.

Me too, I like that feeling of shopping for different packaging.
I did it with VHS, DVD, HD DVD, Blu-ray, and now 4K. ...Individual titles, then remastered individuels, then trilogies in one single package, the big one.

It's not how much money we just keep spending all together, it's our contribution to the economy rolling in the system we live in...it's the journey. Live now for now, and not for tomorrow, because when we die we don't get to carry our movies with us. Live, die, repeat.
