Home vs Theatre - is time a consideration?

I simply don't get out to the movies all that often. Yet sometimes it is a lot of fun to get out of the house and go see something brand new at the theater, though. When I do that, it is something I really want to see and I often don't bother with add on expenses such as food, drink etc (unless I sneak it in, haha). Matinees or going super late is better than prime time weekend slots- more risk of annoyances that will otherwise make me wish I stayed at home and waited the time for it to come out on video. I have some gift card movie tickets that I plan to use with my S.O. sometime soon, so we are going to chose our movie wisely (perhaps a BD contender, ya know?).
