I watched Love, Simon 3 times, Phantom Thread and Call Me by Your Name 2 times each, and I loved those experiences and have zero problem with the one-time limit because I still have the option to watch up to 15 film releases a month for $10. Even of there's only 2 movies a month that interest me, it'll still be worth it.

I saw Rampage tonight and had to do the photo verification for the first time this evening after I got the email about it earlier today. It worked flawlessly for me. About 30 minutes ago I got a notification from the app saying, "We've made a few updates to the MoviePass app; please make sure to update before you head to the theater!"
I don't understand all the people here threatening they'll cancel because of the changes. It's only $9.95 a month at worst. So if you see ONE movie in a month it has already paid for itself. I've paid $69.65 since joining in October and have seen 27 movies with it. So I've paid $2.58 per movie. I'm sure others have seen a lot more. That's a great deal in my book. |

This is from 2012, but NO REPEAT VIEWINGS, was a thing until apparently last year when they allowed it and have just stopped it. It was never part of their original offerings. So newcomers may be upset but anyone who knew about the service or had it prior to their big push last year never got repeat viewings. |

That's the about the average of movies that get released a moth. So it follows that if you can only see movies once, you'll only be able to go 15 times. Unless you live in NY and LA or have a rep theater in your city.

This argument to me is like when people talk about Tom Brady and Deflate Gate... some people say that people who claim he cheated are dumb because the 2nd half of the game vs the colts where the balls were properly inflated, Brady played better than he did in the 1st half when they were under inflated. They use that argument to say that what he did was no big deal... but that argument was always such BS to me, because regardless of how he played in the 2nd half, the fact remains he CHEATED... and to top it off, he was a DUMB cheater, because he didnt need to cheat. How that plays in here is: yes the service is still fine in the grand scheme of things BUT how they got ppl to sign up for it in the first place was by presenting something that after only a few short months is no longer what is being offered. So yeah, the service is still not bad, but it is NOT the service i signed up for... the hoops i have to jump through now would have been something i would not have signed up for.. they deceived the public for publicity and now they change it all up willy nilly and the average consumer, not internet message board geeks like us (myself included) will be the ones that get hosed because 1 day they use the service as they signed up for it, the next it is completely different. So yeah, Brady is still a good QB who would have won the game most likely (although he is nowhere near as good as Joe Montana, who is the TRUE GOAT!) but that isnt the point the point is that he cheated in the first place! (Movie pass is still a fine service (for now) but what they are doing isnt right, and as a consumer of their product, i am not happy about it... and i have never abused the service, only seen the same movie twice maybe once or twice... but this is a slippery slope, how long til the service i enjoy for now is no longer worth it??) |

Same thing just happened to me...signed me out automatically and now I’m screwed. Really hope to get in by tomorrow afternoon! I’m taking my daughter to see Isle of Dogs and it’ll suck if the app’s still being wack.

Must be nice my AMCs both have the same 11 movies, all but 2 of which I have already seen, and no interest in those remaining ones.

I meant like being able to buy tickets on the app. I want to pick my seats so I don’t have to buy them at the theater, so I can reserve them and show up 10 minutes before the showing. MoviePass forces you to get to the theater to reserve the seats. So, if you’re seeing a movie that’s super popular (Avengers for example) you have to go there to get tickets like days in an advance, as opposed to simply saving a trip and doing it on the Alamo App.
