My audience was mostly shocked by the ending. There was an audible "WHAT?!" from someone as soon as it finished and lots of murmuring, and uneasiness from others. And when it said at the very end "Thanos Will Return" a kid said out loud "Oh suree Thanos will Return, but what about everyone else??"

Only time I've experienced a completely silent theater at the end of a movie was American Sniper. People were hushed at the end of Infinity War but it wasn't pindrop silence by any means (and of course the entire theater was cheering at the end of the post-credit scene).

But now, it seems obvious that most if not all will have much greater roles in the battle to come. Hulk will undoubtedly have a moment similar to Thor's landing in Wakanda, which brought the house down at my showing.
I cried at this part it was so epic

Haha I mean, if you are in a 100 percent unwilling protests against Ragnarok then obviously you are never going to watch and enjoy it. Whatever lol

Yeah, my sphincter was tightening as more and more pieces of his armor got ripped off and wouldn’t reform. I didn’t expect Strange to step in.

@Batman1980 You've never seen any of their solo films? Just the team-up/Avengers movies?

The second Stark got stabbed, the audience I saw it with changed. There were audible gasps, then everyone goes silent. It's such a "yeah, these guys were holding their own, but... it's not enough" moment. Then Star-Lords "Wait did we just lose?"

I can't get over how great the following 10-15 minutes are. They're bleak, and heartbreaking, and it's awesome. Experiencing that with an audience that didn't know what was coming... might be one of my favorite theater experiences. The rumbling thunder, the lack of score...

Once Thanos arrived in Wakanda and starts slaughtering everyone in slow motion, that's when I knew, "f*ck. This isn't going to end well."

My heart started pounding. The slo mo, and the score (same one as Gamora's death) added to the thrills and emotion.

My ONLY issue in this film that caused me to scoff and roll my eyes, was when Thanos is feet away from getting to Vision and Wanda is still reluctant to kill him... I literally groaned out loud lol I get that she loves him, but even hesitating to save half of life in existence for a fake AI boyfriend was a stretch. LIke are you not an Avenger? What are you fighting for lol. If Thanos gets that, Y'all are both dead anyways. Which now you are indeed. IF they would have just killed the fake dude in the room earlier, no more infinity gauntlet. But, the movies needs to take some liberties to get to the end game and it was a small complaint.

But even then, the Time Stone would have reversed all of that.

There was not winning in that plan.

Only going to to my top 5. Ranking is too hard for me, changes constantly.

1. Infinity War
2. Homecoming
3. Black Panther
4. Guardians
5. Age of Ultron (rewatched it for the first time since theaters saturday night and found it very enjoyable)

I guess entertainment and rewatchability plays a big part in my favorites.

I had this kind of issue with a lot of the characters. Given the high stakes and the massive, massive deaths that would result if Thanos got his way, I was surprised and disappointed that the actions of our heroes didn't seem to give enough respect to that. If all it takes is threatening to kill a teammate/friend/lover to get an Infinity Stone turned over to Thanos...

I was also bothered by Strange giving up the Time Stone and the timing of Thanos getting it just before the final battle...that took away all sense of tension as it was obvious Thanos would reverse time to ensure the last Stones existence and that he'd get his hand on it. The whole battle then felt like a meaningless exercise.

See, I've read the Infinity Gauntlet comics, and knew about Thanos snapping his fingers.

What I didn't know was if they were really going to do that in the movies. That was a big "oh shit. They actually f*cking did it" moment.
