I like that Flash is a more realistic bully that would be interacting with a kid like Peter on a day to day basis. I like that aunt may is not 80 lol. I like the Stark relationship as that is the most logical way to bring SPidey into the current Avengers paradigm.

I got no problems with all of that. The most important element has always been Peter Parker.

We got like 70 years of Spiderman dating Mary Jane and five films revolving around Peter Parker being in love with some basic white chick. Why not change it up? I don't want another trilogy centered around a cliche love story.
Then it's not accurate to the comics.

Peter is accurate. Spiderman is accurate in his quips, movement, look, and most importantly his struggles. That is what matters. That is why he is the best Spiderman so far.

The rest is fair game to me.

If you want more red headed MAry jane getting upside down kisses, Green Goblin, crappy CGi Venom's and other underdeveloped cgi characters... You got five films to revisit . The one exception being SPiderman 2. That one is pretty good.

Why not change it all up, randomize every established character's appearance completely. I want to see an overweight superman

Not so much looks. TASM2 suit was way more accurate, and Garfield's Peter had plenty of personality and struggles. Homecoming Peter's personality, eh, that's not so bad, it's decent.

And god no! I don't want any more Goblins thanks. Don't need an under-developed Venom either, I have Tom Hardy to iron out my Eddie Brock issues from Spider-Man 3.

Spider-Man 2? Pizza Time.

All subjective to opinion, I respect yours of course.

I was at a Josh Blue standup show the other day and he was telling a joke about making SPiderman have Cerebral Palsy. I almost pissed myself.

And no, it's far from accurate, at least to the comics. The Sam Raimi trilogy is all kinds of bad, but at least that was closer to the comics than any other iteration.

Here's just one of MANY things Homecoming got wrong: Mary Jane Watson.
She's not Mary Jane Watson in Homecoming. She's Michelle. Her saying her friends call her MJ near the end is just a fun homage to the comic books and Raimi movies.

See the TASM2 costume was waaay too textured with raised webs and a raised logo. It looked way too professional and detailed for Peter to have made, to me at least. It was over kill.

Homecoming had the colors just right and it just looked like a smooth cloth suit. Not to mention the emotive eyes that seal it.

That is the TASM1 suit. Here's the TASM2 suit which I think is the best version of the Spider-Man suit:

I just never liked all the honeycomb textures and raised web patterns. Now, Spiderman in suit looked pretty good moving around, I will give you that; and they did make sure to add the quips in some scenes, but that movie just fumbles every other element so hard. I was pretty stoked for TAMS2 but came out severely underwhelmed.

talk about powerful beings, I'm so glad my boy got his full God Status fresh off of Ragnarok.

he withstood surviving in the vacuum of space (after a bit of torture mind you ) for an undetermined amount of time. he held that forge interlock open with brute strength and withstood the force of the flowing Neutron Star for what seemed like an eternity and it didn't kill him either!

he did it with no hammer, no shield, no nothing except his Godhood and intestinal fortitude!

ASGARD FOREVER!

As for Spidey, give it time. I think him seeking for a father figure in Stark is quite touching. While it is not canonical at all, it fits the current MCU. Having said that, in the end of Homecoming, he is victorious without Stark and proves himself to his idol. THis is the point of the Stark-Peter relationship. he just wants to make a father figure proud and to prove himself.

Trapped under the rubble and dying, he starts to become a man and a hero on his own.

In Infinity War he simply jumps into action and gets in way too over his head. He is not strong enough for that battle and needed help.
I totally understand Stark being a father figure to Peter, because Marvel decided to do away with Uncle Ben. However, Tony is being more than just a father figure. He has too much of a hand in molding and helping Spider-Man, including making each of his suits.

I liked Homecoming and thought that rubble scene was great, along with the scene in DC. I want to see more of that, where Spider-Man has to be his own man. I also want to see Spider-Man rely on his natural enhanced abilities, rather than a Tony Stark suit with gadgets.

Seeing as Stark may well be dead by the end of avengers 4, I wouldn't worry too much about the future of Peter Parker.

I think Capt is the one to die in the next one. Tony probably tries to sacrifice himself but Capt ends up doing it.
