It plays into the child like demeanor of the hulk. He just throws a tantrum and doesn't fight with his mind. Which again plays into him just being a brat and not wanting to come out. I can see them working on that so Banner can retain his brain while going Hulk to fight better.

I am sure that Bruce was hiding in the corner when Thanos appears and didn't Hulk out until after.

what still bothers me is that Banner knew who was Thanos was even though he was transported away from the ship as the Hulk...hmmm..

There are scenes cut for sure. In the trailer, you can see Banner working on the Hulkbuster arm. So either the armor was in pieces and he was assembling it in Wakanda or Tony applied nanotech to it and allowed it to be stored easier. I just imagine a drawer of chest pieces he has that contain different suits in nanotech.

Someone should have told Thanos about the Malthusian Theory. I think it states: our world will never suffer from overpopulation becase war, disease, and famine will keep the population under control. If we cure most diseases, people will starve. If we feed everyone, war will break out. So on and so on. Or something like that.

Well, I kinda doubt that they've heard of Malthus over in Thanos's corner of the galaxy....

It brings up a good discussion because would a genocide lottery be an option? Or would that never happen and we would rather parish?

The movie is deeper than what is shown on screen as it presents a very real world problem with a solution that is considered insane but would solve a lot of issues.

We can see the side from Thanos' point of view and why he is doing this. Some people might have considered genocide as an option but only he has the will to follow through.
I think his execution is just as puerile as Killmonger’s plan.
Its not thought out.

The comics version is just batshit crazy.
This is too random for my tastes.

Uhh, these outcomes are exactly what Thanos wants to avoid, hence the culling. He the Universe's conservationist, and we're the deer.

Yes. Very different from the book yet still in character I thought. He wasnt as crazy and conflict happy as the comic, but the stubborn purple ahole is trying to keep the universe from eating Soylent green so you can see his point, kind of

So.........how did Thanos know about Stark? If he really thought Stark was a threat........why not take him out first then get the stones? Or take out the Avengers first? I think that was Thanos' first mistake....he was too over confident as the Avengers and GotG gave him problems.

is the reference from Spiderman about "Aliens" when taking out Maw, allowed because 1) they are in discussion to buy Fox (who owns the rights) and 2) because even if the sale gets blocked, have they agreed something together anyway to share characters? (ala Spiderman/sony)? or something?

This seems to have been missed somewhat.
Like in Civil War he mentions that old Star Wars movie, but Disney own the rights so that is fine.

This "Aliens" comment interests me personally.

There is no copyright infringement or legal precedent for simply mentioning the existence of another piece of entertainment in dialogue. If they want to show clips in any way, use posters or images on the other hand? THAT would be problematic without asking permission first.

He was probably watching closely throguhout the entire thing. I doubt he'd just lend Loki his army and let him do his thing without looking over his shoulder.

Thanos: “Fine, I’ll do it myself”. This suggests he was aware of key events and players.
