How could Odin have something in his vault that was never created to begin with? Unless that's what Hella meant when saying, "fake?"
I've thought about that, too!

And for the longest time, I always thought that what we saw there in the first Thor film and in Ragnarok was "the other" Infinity Gauntlet. Notice that it is a right hand, while Thanos had the left hand. I figured they were meant to be a pair, and that eventually it was possibly going to be Odin (or even Adam Warlock) who would fight Thanos with "the other" Infinity Gauntlet.

Once upon a time, I even modified the MCU wikipedia page to specify that the gauntlet in Odin's vault was right-handed, and someone immediately changed my submission, deleting that detail, as if to hide it (Marvel operatives maybe?).

So anyway, how did Eitri the giant-dwarf create the one for Thanos, when there was already a right-hand version of it? Did he create that one as a model for Odin, but it never truly worked? Seems like there is a backstory that needs to be told.

The stone's really yellow, it was just inside a blue shell when it was in the staff.

Thanos made a deal with Loki to retrieve the Space Stone using the Mind Stone. In return, Loki would get to rule earth. Obviously that didn't go as planned and Thanos got the short end of that deal as he lost two Stones. This put Loki at the top of Thanos' shit list which is why he killed Loki.

great, great movie. saw it in imax. best movie ive ever saw in theaters. just amazing. 9.5/10.

makes me wonder about the power of stormbreaker. infused with the power of the sun/star is something truly pure as if it was part of creation itself and cannot be manipulated is why the gauntlet/stones were powerless as he threw the axe against him.

In my opinion a better ending*would be Thanos dying after the snap, showing him in peace looking at the universe and how he finally got what he wanted. I mean, Thor DID hurt him badly before the snap, even if Thanos was right and he should go for his head, why would Thanos survive when Thor went trough him with his axe. And then in A4 with Thanos dead, the gauntlet destroyed, a new powerful villain rises,*the remaining Avengers go to alternate universe where all different versions of the heroes are still alive, and convince them to help them fight against the new villain in the original universe. In the end, Black Panther, Spiderman and Dr Strange from the alternate universe decide to stay. And that's how they keep the original characters dead and we get new versions of these characters. Everyone happy.*

Thanos had already activated the snap by the time the axe struck his chest. Think of the Thanos you see reacting to the attack as a bit of a time ghost, really just the bit of Thanos that was still behind after he started the change.

No. Don't think it was some time ghost, Thor drove Stormbreaker through Thanos' chest.
Thanos told Thor, "you should have gone for the head."

He then snaps his fingers.

To which a bewildered Thor asks Thanos what he did.

Ah okay, my mistake but if Stormbreaker and/or Thor were really that powerful then that attack would've killed him.

I'll add the caveat I don't know just how immortal Eternals are.

So Thanos is like a walker where the only way to kill him is via the head? lol

I also love how shocked Thanos is when he looks at the now damaged Gauntlet. Wondering if the snap actually worked.

I don't really have that knowledge.

See, I don't know if he said "head" or "hand."

It'd make sense to say hand as he would have lost a limb and unable to snap his fingers. But then saying head works too as Thanos would surely have been killed.

Thanos was clearly dying at the moment and clicked his fingers before he drew his last breath. If he didn't have the infinity gauntlet Thanos would have been a gonna

Half of the universe. Billions are only half of Earth, and I don't really know how big the Universe is, but it's half of it. Astronomical numbers.

Technically, but I think Guardians 1 has the highest on screen deaths with 83,871

I present to you the funniest and stupidest joke in Infinity War:

Starlord: "I'm only going to ask you once, where is Gamora?"
Tony Stark: "I'll do you one better, who is Gamora?"
Drax: "I'll do you one better, why is Gamora?"
