Yeah but the CoT ship arrival was a one time limited event that was concluded when they left. It wasn't the full invasion of NYC again....

How's that Sokovia Accords working for you Mr. Ross?

My theater didn't have a warning for TLJ. I find the whole notion ridiculous.

We know that. The world didn't. For them, the threat returned, and took away their best line of defense after the accords. I'd probably freak out at that time too.

And yeah those damn accords. Terrible idea.

The funniest part of that is, the same thing happened in Rogue One, there was no warning.

Yes it was brilliant as we have never seen anything like it in any star wars movie and it was a million to 1 chance it was going to work and prove to be devastating to the First Order fleet....effectively crippling their space force.

This movie changes everything moving forward in ways we don't fully understand because we have never seen such an event like this before. Does make you wonder if Ant-man and the Wasp will even touch the subject at all. I still say Marvel should have pushed Ant-man and CM to after the sequel to this movie. Let the audience and the internet speculate for an entire year with only teaser trailers and no tv spots.........teasers like 1 minute one's with no real footage of the new movie...it will build more of a hype and anticipation for the conclusion of the story. I am sure lots more people are going to see AM and CM just to see if there is a connection or hints to what happened to everyone in IW.

that and the fall of SHIELD........ Had they been around I am sure it would have been a big surprise if Agent Coulson arrived at the scene with some heavy duty alien inspired weapons....now that would have been a great cameo.........but oh wait........last time I checked they were in space???

Don’t get me wrong, I liked the movie a lot, and I loved seeing so many of my favorite characters on screen...but, the movie was not great by any stretch. Even at 2.5 hours, it felt very rushed and jam packed to me, and quick cuts to various scenes weren’t effective in my opinion. It’s obviously unrealistic to expect a longer movie due to theater restrictions, but my god would a 3-3.5 hour cut of this film be so much more effective.

I do love the overall idea that half the heroes are “dead” ... but the fact that they are obviously not actually dead kind of cuts into the gravity of the situation for me, and they really tried to imply it as a serious situation. A minor complaint I get it, but for me it kind of cuts into the “non-ending” ending.

The Vision / Witch relationship didn’t do it for me. At all. And I like Elisabeth Olsen but I didn’t buy her emotion in this. This perhaps calls back to Avengers Age of Ultron being one of my least favorite MCU entries.

The quick mention / scene of how the government is opposed to the Captain America crew didn’t do it for me, might as well have kept it out in my opinion, we already knew that, and it was a waste of the runtime.

Also, i do love the comedy in the MCU, as Thor Ragnarok and Guardians are my favorites, but contrasting death scenes with immediate comedic lines after a quick cut to a different group was not super effective for me in this particular film. Just too much jumping from serious to one-liners, which I’m okay with, but there was a LOT.

I would put it in the bottom half, and perhaps bottom quarter of Marvel films. Still enjoyable, but I simply prefer others. My personal taste.

The new Spider-Man suit was probably my favorite part. Loved Bruce in the Hulk suit. Thor / “Rabbit” dynamic really worked for me. Chris Pratt “fat jokes” and “deep voice jokes” were very effective. Overall the new Spider-Man really does it for me. MCU really knocked it out of the park with that casting - Andrew Garfield and Tobey were terrible in comparison. In my opinion.

I can’t wait for Captain Marvel and what will obviously be a great conclusion to this chapter with Avengers 4. Just a bit surprised at all the praise for this film as one of the best Avengers movie.

1. Thor: Ragnarok 100/100
2. Spiderman: Homecoming 100/100
3. Guardians of the Galaxy 100/100
4. Doctor Strange 100/100
5. Black Panther 100/100
6. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 95/100
7. Iron Man 95/100
8. Captain America: Winter Soldier 95/100
9. Captain America: First Avenger 90/100
10. Ant-Man 90/100
11. Thor 85/100
12. Captain America: Civil War 80/100
13. Avengers: Infinity War 80/100
14. Iron Man 3 75/100
15. The Avengers 75/100
16. Avengers: Age of Ultron 65/100
17. Thor: Dark World 65/100
18. Iron Man 2 65/100
19. The Incredible Hulk 65/100

I found Thor: Ragnarok surprisingly great and I consider it to be one of the most special films of all the MCU, but as much as I would love to see a sequel, part of me is really worried that it wouldn't be able to hold up to Ragnarok. Can Waititi hit the mark of excellence a second time? Favreau couldn't do it. Whedon couldn't do it. Even Gunn couldn't do it. The only ones that have (and three times so far) is the Russos. I think I can live without a Thor Ragnarok sequel, but damn, I'll be one of the first ones running out to see it if it happens.

TLJ was the first Star Wars movie that left me cold.

My experience with Infinity War left me at the edge of my seat for the entirety and wanting more after the post-credits.

Would love to see Thor take on Beta Ray Bill in a sequel.

Maybe this has been discussed here and maybe it hasn't, I haven't seen it around.

I was reading my copy of "Avengers Infinity War - The Official Movie Special" by Titan and saw this Q&A with Gwyneth Paltrow and it made me start thinking. Tony and Pepper don't have a child in Infinity War, but they were discussing the possibility within the movie. The answer that Gwyneth gives very clearly says "they're married, and they have a child." ... They are not married yet in Infinity War, either. Tony invites Wong to his wedding that has yet to happen, and they do not have a child.

Is it possible she just gave away a huge spoiler for Avengers 4 or am I looking too far into this? This is an official magazine and not some unofficial fan made creation, it can be purchased at Walmart too.

I saw Avengers 3 again today. It was just as good as the first time. A Top 5 comic book movie of all time. I wouldn't rank it #1 though.

Waititi's more of a comedic auteur than those guys, he's been making cracking comedies for years now so you give him Thor again and there's no doubt that he'll delive something along the same lines as Ragnarok. The big question will be over the script: If he scripts it himself it could turn the Waititi factor up to 11 and give us something very different, or he could be lumped with a generic script from some other Marvel-hired writer. They may wanna do that to rein him in somewhat.

No, you're not reading too far into it. That's a pretty big spoiler.

I believe most of the actors only got their lines, and not a full script, and the films were shot as a single production. She likely didn't work very long on the films and may not have even realized what was Avengers 3 and what was Avengers 4 (probably only a few scenes, and she may have shot her Avengers 4 material first depending on how the schedule played out).

It certainly seems like the logical storyline development based on what was set up in Infinity War.
