This is been going on for over a year now.

Just saying, Amazon had this same nonsense going on with Nintendo games and consoles for a good four years or so (IIRC) not that long ago...

So, someone said they thought the CGI had been improved for the home release. It has happened before, but I was having a hard time believing them. Can anyone who got it early confirm?

Based on previous MCU releases I'm sure it's exactly what was shown in theaters.

I’m the opposite. I wasn’t really feeling it in white, but I’m digging the silver. I wanted to save myself the eight bucks, but now I might bite at this. Damn it!

HDR can make VFX look better, that might be what it is. I doubt any additional work was done.

Yep, it's Harry Potter all over again. They changed the VFX! No they didn't.

I think most times that they change the effects they will actually announce it. For a film like this, those sequences are probably finalized months in advance of release and can’t be altered further.

When VFX are applied without announcement it’s for subtle stuff like adding more product placement to Transformers movies.

Why on earth would they go back and redo fx for the home release? This movie made an absolute fortune in it's current form, no point in them bothering with any tinkering with the visuals, audiences loved it.

are you saying that what we will see on our TV screens won't be the same exact thing as what was shown in theaters?

No I'm saying the opposite! I believe the home version will be exactly the same as the version shown in theatres.

Without knowing anything about this, I can tell you the opening action scene where T'Challa finds Nakia was MUCH clearer on the home release than cinema. I don't think they re-did the VFX, but I think the lighting was balanced a little more brightly, perhaps? I could actually see what was going on - I made a mental note of that in the cinema.
