Once the street date hits it's anyone's guess how long the slips last. I can say that as of today that MVD hasn't manufactured any yet without slips BUT at the same time, we used all of the slips we printed to manufacture the current inventory so unless a retailer breaks the shrinkwrap and opens the package and removes the slip and then re-shrinks it, if you order today, you should get one.

Amazon.ca, we still pay more but mainly because our dollar sucks.

The Return of Swamp Thing was my first pickup from this line. I almost imported the barebones UK release several times in the past. I'm glad I held off. The new transfer looks amazing and it has a nice selection of extras. I'm pretty impressed. Looking forward to Abominable next.

It would be cool if both of these could get a North American release !

Any chance for Excessive Force 1993 with Thomas Ian Griffith, Tony Todd and the bad ass Lance Henrickson? That was an awesome VHS rental for me.

That's another DVD I'm holding onto for dear life. I'd love a blu of it, great cast also with Charlotte Lewis from The Golden Child and Burt Young

Just throwing some ideas out there like everyone else. With the recent uptick in interest in the Karate Kid series due to YouTubeRed's hit Cobra Kai series, I posted a few pages back about the possibility of MVD looking into the Shootfighter films with William Zabka and Martin Kove, Johnny Lawrence and Kreese, respectively, of the Karate Kid films.

I just read that Thomas Ian Griffith (Terry Silver in KK III) had his own series of B-Action flicks in the mid 90's including stuff like Crackerjack co-starring Christopher Plummer and Blood of the Innocent with Rutger Hauer. Perhaps these could fit with MVD somewhere down the line too. And yes I admit I offer these suggestions due to my recent nostalgia trip with Cobra Kai.

If anybody's on the fence for Angel Town, here's a trailer.

Sigh. It's a shame MVD is doing what Olive, Kino, etc all did before realizing they were in the wrong by not including subtitles for the hard of hearing. These companies spend all this money on slipcovers, extras, etc, but fail to present the films where the disabled can actually enjoy them. I thought priorities had shifted by now, since most other companies realized they should include them, but I guess not.

Now I have to rip Swamp Thing and add my own subtitle track, which does exist and easily could've been added to the disc. Especially at those prices. f=For $39.99 MSRP, subtitles should be a given.

Well,
Red Sonja is @ WB through the MGM/Turner acquisition maybe Shout! can release this one.

Raw Deal is @ Lionsgate through a distribution deal with StudioCanal.

Shout Factory might try to license Red Sonja but Lionsgate releasing Raw Deal I'm more skeptical about.

I think I'm probably better off just buying the region free UK Imports of both of these films.

Thanks for the info, very much appreciated !

I have both the UK releases of the Red Sonja and Raw Deal, if you are a fan of Arnold's and enjoy these movies, you won't be disappointed. Both have decent transfers and play with no issue on my player.

I consider Raw Deal a must own, myself.

But if I had the chance to obtain a North American release, I wouldn't hesitate.

Sent this as a PM to MVD Rewind Guy, but also posting here so other interested folks can chime in:

Hello there,

I understood from your comment on the Walking Tall announcement, that MVD is looking at re-releasing titles with existing HD masters including previously left off extras. One possible title would be Lionsgate's The Devil's Rejects. The earlier 2-DVD set had a massive (2.5hr) making of video diary "30 days in Hell", but this was left off the BD. Also, the feature was encoded in MPEG-2 and used a lossy DTS-HD HR 6.1 audio (not fully lossless DTS-HD MA). The film enjoys a cult reputation and I'm sure fans would plump for a new version with a high quality MPEG-4 encode (especially if you also could arrange for the making of to be presented in HD). Pretty sure a good encoder could fit all this nicely on one BD-50.

Please look into the feasibility of this release, thanks
