I baled after about 10 minutes of the three kids - their acting and the script were equally awful, just embarrassingly bad.

It'll be $5 before you know it. I love Eastwood as a director (I've seen all but one feature) and this is firmly in the middle of the pack (that's a good thing. I only dislike one or two)

I don't mind unpolished acting, so take what I say with a grain of salt.

Redboxed this, watching it now, and WOW is it bad. Like, insanely bad. Like, early pick for "worst of the decade" bad. Not just the non-actor leads, either. The kids are terrible, the professional actors are chewing so much scenery I swear they must've gotten indigestion while filming. Awful.
