Why not just pull an Ocean's 8? Female leads, bring back Aykroyd, maybe give Jim Belushi a role since he couldn't be in 2000.

What does "she can burn down guitar" mean? I personally think the girl's music is just awful, so I've never really paid attention, but is Taylor Swift known for being a great guitar player?

She's know for jumping from boyfriend to boyfriend every other month and then writing a song about it.

And for throwing out any and all fan gifts as well.

Soul Sisters could work, similar story, but different plot of events.... that really could be its own movie without trying to be a gender swapped remake of Blues Brothers.

I am all for girl versions of movies, but they need to make sense. This one doesn't. A female 007 could work because 007 is the agent code. Laura can take over for Logan and be a new Wolverine. MiB can be anyone. But the Blues Brothers are Jake and Elwood; BB 2000 barely got by with John Goodman's Mack (who knows how it would have been with Belushi's brother).
So, going by that statement, if they did a girl version of The Last House on the Left, Natural Born Killers or The Glass Shield that made sense, you'd be for it and you'd be for taking other people's IP to establish that instead of standing on your own two feet?

Ok I give... as long as we can get a female version of the Full Monty starring Jessica Chastain, Kate Beckinsale, Rachel McAdams, Emilia Clarke, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Hayley Atwell.

Deal?

Certain people at Gibson could tell you but then it might not end well for them. But if her voice can be auto-tuned, imagine what they can do with guitars and onboard electronics nowadays.

I've never seen those movies, but if the story can be helmed by a woman, what's the problem? People using other people's scripts has been around since the dawn of media. Look how many times Batman and Superman have been reshot. There's a lot of sexism here that needs to disappear.

Why don't they just make good, original movies with all female casts instead of doing these things that make people mad? I'm a dude and I'm a big fan of Pitch Perfect and Bridesmaids. I guess I don't see why remaking older movies with different genders is a thing right now.

There's a lot of racism that has to disappear too and since we're going by that, let's turn Batman black, make a Latino remake of Die Hard, remake Friday with an Asian cast or make a version of Detroit with the cops portrayed by females and just stop casting white males in movies outright until the problem is fixed since they're the root of all evil in Hollywood.
It just reeks of outright laziness, pure and simple. I guess creating original works with different cast is too much work when you can ride the coat tails of someone else's IP.
BTW, If some did an all male led of Steel Magnolias or Fried Green Tomatoes, they're are folks that'll lose their collective s.

I actually don't like Steel Magnolias...

But I'm open to male versions of female led movies, assuming they make sense like my caveat with The Blues Brothers remains in place. It has to make sense. 9 to 5 remade with men would work if it was in a women dominated field where men aren't typically promoted (like childcare or cheerleading or something). Zootopia or GI Jane wouldn't.
