I was thinking more of Field of 3D Dreams, but it's all good.

Yesterday, i watched Geostorm in 3d and i thought the 3d is very good, what really enhanced the 3d are the VFX, they really helped the 3d especially the finale in space, the space stuff really benefited the 3d, space and separation between foreground and background made a difference, also the action scenes give the 3d a massive boost, i wouldn't bothered with this one if it was in 2d, glad this movie got a blu ray 3d release even though it do so well at the box office.

My copy is the Japanese release, however my copy did not have Japanese audio and subtitles, which is strange because it should have Japanese audio and subtitles but it does not.
Instead i saw These audio tracks:

Drive Angry - Amazon has it for cheap. I like Nick Cage but I've not yet watched it.

Watched Kung Fu Panda 2 last night. Just as enjoyable and immersive as the first. Will be watching number three this afternoon.

Just watched Creature From The Black Lagoon for the 2nd time. These vintage films put modern 3D efforts to shame.

Hi gang,

As promised, saw the third kung fu panda installment today.

All three were a joy to watch no matter what age a child one is. Funny, touching and clever all at once with beautiful 3D immersion. Too bad all these years i thought these were really oriented for children.

Glad to know there are plans for three more.

The bright and colourful Coco had typically conservative Pixar 3D with barely noticeable pop-out but the depth and volume still made me glad I was watching in 3D. It made me want to watch The Book Of Life again too.

I was debating re-buying Inferno but after watching my Panamint edition again I don't see any reason to. Excellent immersive 3D, excellent film - I'd forgotten how good the soundtrack is.

I had only previously watched Resident Evil: Afterlife theatrically, and a while ago, so I'd forgotten much of it. At home I really didn't like the look of Milla's video diary sequences but the film dumps those fairly quickly and still delivers a bunch of pop-outs and gorgeous (or should that be goregeous) slow-motion. That shower room scene is just pure eye candy. The film doesn't make the best use of its prison setting but goes beyond expectations in varied environments for 3D, most notably underwater and underground. This is easily Paul WS Anderson's best 3D movie.

In terms of 3D I think Resident Evil Retribution is the equal of Afterlife. In terms of the movie I think Afterlife edges it slightly but Retribution does have a pleasing variety of locations for its action sequences.

I vastly prefer Pompeii to both of those, a fun movie I unashamedly love. The 3D is good too but of course it could be stronger.

I applaud Paul w.s. Anderson for embracing 3D so much, I just wish he wasn't so reserved with it. The thing is with his movies is that he uses loads of interiors and sets. Only The Three Musketeers stands out as there are so many exteriors and actual locations. Pompeii has a slightly epic feel but the majority of it is shot on soundstages still. With so many interiors and sets it can be hard to make 3D shine. At least Retribution had plenty of big 3D CG set extensions whereas Afterlife had a lot less of that.

RE Afterlife definitely had great 3D , and yeah thate shower scene was incredible. I Also liked the one that came after it, but the final movie was a pretty big let down.

Hey Joe!

Good to hear. I enjoy all of them also. Good 3D and nice story and humor.

Funny story:
[Show spoiler] Wife & I always watch film credits. While we were watching Kung Fu Panda 3, it said “Directed by Jennifer Yuh Nelson”.
I told my wife, “Wow, I went to school with her.”
She said, “Yeah, sure you did!”
I said, “I’m serious. Her and her sister Catherine were exceptional at art & drawing. We were in Art class together.”
Lo and behold, guess what other name came up in the credits: Catherine Yuh.
Just thought I’d share that funny moment that we had together.

I want to see the Kung Fu Panda series. I never have so I'd love to get them and watch them in 3D.

Watched IMAX 3D of Humpback Whales. One of my favorite animals ever, so I enjoyed it.

Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted - The 3D is so good with this film.

Kung Fu Panda 3D is my all-time favorite animated 3D feature.
I have viewed it more times than any other movie in my 3D collection, always keeping my interest and picking at my fascination about the power of believing.
Skillfully re-rendered in 3D.

Unfortunately Gert Krumbacher's review of Wolfhound 3d states:

Review alone of the technical 3D quality with LG Bluray player and
LG screen (1920: 1080 = 1.78) with polarizing technology, diagonal = 140 cm

+ Strengths: none

-Weaknesses:
- Aspect ratio 2.35 not full screen
- Cheapest junk conversion
- except for a few moments: no stereoscopes, no depth graduation:
The foreground and background are in a fake plane behind the screen

Hope he's wrong Mr. 13th. Sound like a good story.

No, he's right, it's junk. Thankfully I didn't pay a lot for it.

Hi Law,

Don't hesitate further like I did, thinking it was for children (the title fooled me).

Its a wonderful series. All three need to be seen and in sequential order. Naturally, glorious 3D.

Check around for best prices then go!

I bought Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows in 3D months ago when it was on sale. Saw it in 2D at cinema when it came out but last night was the first time I watched it in 3D finally.

I remembered not liking it as much as the first but last night I found myself having a blast watching it. The 3D depth was really good and had some cool pop outs.
