I might give it a rent, but Im not expecting too much. The trailers really turned me off to it. I was all hyped for it til I seen the trailers, it really did look stupid, but I guess we'll see.

For all you haters, not every movie is going to have a good storyline. For Gods sake, look at the title of the movie "The Punisher". Does it seem like its going to have a touching story? No! Of course not! Punishing means beating or killing. End of rant

One of my favorite action movies this year. THE BEST popcorn flick of the year for sure. I enjoyed the hell out of it. I am also a huge Punisher fan..so I may be biased. According to Tim Bradstreets forum this is suppose to come out March 17. I hope its March..cant wait any longer!

Never saw this or the first one. Did see the one with Dolth Lundgred. Like the song that Rob Zombie did for the new one though.

Sweet, day one purchase. I don't know what everybody complaining was expecting . . . it's about as true to the character as you can get. Punisher isn't exactly the deepest of characters.

I have to agree. I was kind of dragged to this movie, but after seeing it I must say it does the character justice. I liked it a lot better than the 2004 movie. Ray Stevenson over Tom Jane for sure.

didnt get a chance to catch it in theaters, but I heard great things about the amounts of tounge-in-cheek gratuitious violence. I'll be picking this up. No way can it be as bad and watered down as the 04 flick.

I did like the amount of violence in this movie, very Punisher-like.

The '04 movie, the Punisher was running around playing mind games with everyone. Trying to make Howard Saint think his wife was cheating on him with Quentin. That's not the Punisher's MO. Plus he goes in the final battle with a bow and arrow???? No! He's supposed to go in guns ablazing!

Although I ripped John Travolta's villain in my previous post, I will say he has the funniest scene in the Thomas Jane Punisher: when he throws his wife onto the train tracks, after being duped into thinking she was cheating.

That movie had a lot of unintentionally funny scenes, but that by far was the best.

So you would rather have a fat, toothless main female character? Hot women at least sale......the movie was crap with or without her presense. It was just easier on the eyes with her being there.

What I am saying is that there needs to be no female character. Like the movie First Blood (or the original Punisher movie for that matter). Just death, beatings, and punishment....like the comic book.
The Thomas Jane Punisher started out alright (real dark), then got way too cheesy. The best thing about it was looking at the chick, which isn't the reason I watch movies. I would rather look at chicks in real life, not on a TV screen.

Have you ever read a Punisher comic book, or better yet, multiple Punisher comic books? What were you expecting?
