I agree. I got the Black Panther steel, but I generally get the slips too. I love the embossing and foil!

I'm answering my own question here but yes the feature film bluray has both commentary tracks and all the extras - time to retire/pawn/sell off my prior edition

BAD NEWS, guys: another botched audio job from Disney.

The ATMOS track is neutered to all hell. An absolute shame, as the video transfer, so far appears, to be among one of Disney's best so far.

They really need to get this audio thing figured out, and fast.

I don't expect Disney to offer any "real" Atmos audio anytime soon

I really feel their Atmos is a complete lie and false advertising.

It seriously sucks, dude.

Because the transfer for the video side of things, is amazing.

Disney is so damn frustrating. They've delivered, for the most part, on the video side of things for all of their releases--and they offer the best physical packaging as far as quality and design goes--but their audio quality, and treatment of the ATMOS medium, is seriously infuriating.

It's not Atmos though, right? Or is it your view that because of Atmos that they are killing the core 7.1? I couldn't care less about Atmos. Their 7.1 has stunk since, what, 2015?

As far as the dynamic range goes, it's not there. Not unless you crank your volume up to insane levels, like we've had to do with the prior Disney releases.

This is, unfortunately, more of the same.

It's hard to get a read on these forums at times. People say something is great or good then other people say that same thing is horrible or bad.

I'm not an audio expert--but I'm also not an idiot.

The audio levels for the Atmos mix for 'The Incredibles', is playing at no higher or lower level than past Disney releases on this format so far.

No disrespect intended to the other user, but this disc really is no different from the other Atmos mixes from Disney.

I'd have to disagree, partially. The surrounds and the overheads seem to not do much work like other Disney titles but the bass doesn't seem to be neutered at all. Or at least the room shakes enough for me to not notice

I'm only finishing the first act now though. I'll see how the rest of the movie goes.

Is it at least more dynamic than the original 5.1 DTS-MA track?

Agreed. I only previewed the first 15 to 20 minutes of the film but I didn't feel the need to increase volume like I did with Black Panther. Also, scenes with bass sounded fine. Notably, the train crash scene near the beginning had good bass.

I mean, I wasn't blown away like I was with the DTS-X track of the recently released Jurassic Park 4K Blu-ray but I wasn't disappointed like I was with Black Panther.

Perhaps I will play my original Blu-ray of the Incredibles this evening and see if I hear a notable difference between it and the 4k Blu-ray.
