They had 7 Steelbooks left in Costa Mesa, CA by 11:15am in the front display only. None in the back.

I feel like they missed out. I would have bought this Steel book if it was 4K. Since it is just standard blu ray I just skipped out

I accidentally showed up to my BB 20 minutes early assuming they had already opened at 9. Needless to say, I got there when it opened. They only had three steels of Peter Pan at that time, and I grabbed one. I saw The Incredibles sb as well. There were a few, but it didn't call my name.

I had to make the rounds to excessively dip for PP for gifts. I reserved a copy at the Disney Store and then swung by Target for the Digipack which I thought was a Digibook. I wish I had seen the videos of it before I went out to buy it, and I'm really disappointed Target's jumped on the multiple inconsistent design bandwagon.

I realize Coco went down this route, but.. Coco's not part of the Signature line. An upside for those who got the Diamond Target exclusive is that it's a little different. Also, the Mary Blair concept art is gorgeous. It would have been nice to have had a bound book with her spacey artwork of Neverland on the cover, but alas...

Target Digipack
[Show spoiler]

The medium doesn't really bother me, it's the scale. It just looks so disjointed now. The packaging is smaller than the Digibooks, but the spine logo is larger? The proportions they nailed are out the window.

EDIT: There were a looot of these Target Digipacks at the store in stark comparison to the BB steels, understandably so.

Can someone refresh my mind about the entire signature series that’s released so far? I skipped out on Beauty and the Beast and Lion King bc I already had the 3D Diamond Collection w lenticular slip for both.

If I remember correctly, BATB didn’t have any sort of exclusive lenticular slip and TLK had a very basic uninspiring steelbook? From there, I picked up Pinocchio lenticular, Bambi lenticular, and Lady and the Tramp SB. Also have Snow White lenticular from the launch of the sig series.

Am I all caught up with the “exclusives” from this series so far (I have Peter Pan sb for ISPU)?!

Are you taking into account the Target digibooks (except for Peter Pan being a digipack)?

I'm so happy Peter Pan storybook blu ray is coming down in price. I'm trying to collect the storybooks, and Peter Pan was about $75 LOL. It's coming down in price thanks to this re-release.

Anyone notice that when a Steel is heavily debosssed, such as this title... sometimes the front of the case makes a lite pop sound. Literally no damage at all, no dents, no plastic tears...sometimes the front is just loose and you can push it in and out??

I hope that’s not old digibook collectors selling their old copies in anticipation of getting the new ones because they are going to be really disappointed...

Oh yea you right...although when Disney does release store exclusives I typically go for the lenticulars or steel, rather than the books. But nonetheless you are correct!

Well I didn’t notice the sound, but my Incredibles steelbook almost seems a little caved in around the debossing area. Pan isn’t though. There was only one other one on the shelf, and it also seemed slightly “caved in.”

I was too exhausted to try to drive to another BB to try to exchange it earlier.

Yeah I think that is normal....its not so caved in as more the cover is just that way because of the heavy debossing. I think!

Anyone else bothered by the Disney/Blu-ray and character spine logos not being consistent with the other signature steelbook releases. I guess, it's better than the Target digibook/digipack inconsistency.

I just opened my mailed copy of Peter Pan and it looked as if someone punched the entire package. the spine is bent, almost wavy. This experience may make me put all future steelbook purchases for in store pickup as well. Though my in store copy came with a couple of small dents underneath the J Card.

LOL seriously! I must admit, I was a bit disappointed, I thought it was a typical storybook too, but it turns out it's more like Coco. I don't mind, because at least the packaging art is really nice with a small dedication to the color stylist.

I remember Amazon selling the Beauty and the Beast 3D movie for a year at $85. The day the signature edition came out, dropped to $25. lol.

I'm only missing Sleeping Beauty, and since the last couple releases haven't been true story books, I might as well pick it up. It will probably drop around Maleficent 2 is released.

I actually did notice, feeling out the store's handful of copies. It doesn't really bother me though.

I did notice that PP's frame for Tinkerbell is larger than the ones for TLK and LatT. Lady is pretty visible, but why they ever decided to squeeze two characters on TLK's sb spine I'll never understand. You can barely see either! They should have given them the larger dimensions as with the PP release. It's a neverending journey with these releases.

Ugh. This. I'm a little upset. I got what I thought was the best copy - opened it up just a few hours ago, and there's a couple scratches just barely hidden by the dang J-card! My eye goes straight to them.

I feel like I could live with minor dents, but scratches on the artwork (of a brand new product no less really bothers me. Were you able to exchange yours?

I didn't even notice Scar on TLK sb spine until you mentioned it. lol. I do like PP's framing for Tinkerbell much better. I just wished they would stay consistent. Funny how The Incredibles sb frame for Mr.Incredible matches TLK and LatT.

I decided like you, I could live with the small barely noticeable dents so I didnt try to. If this was on a Marvel movie I'd swap it out.

If anyone has an extra, I'm buyin.
Was able to order Incredibles on Tuesday but since I can't do in-store pickup, I'm looking for Pan.
