I don't get the hate for halloween III. i mean, I'm glad it doesn't have michael in it.

it was the last one I saw and one I just stumbled across on tv, but after every sequel being such a disappointment. that was literally the first time since I had seen the first one that I watched a Halloween movie and didn't know what was going to happen.

let's be honest. the stories are all weak at best in the sequels and the one thing worth mentioning is danielle harris. but they couldn't even make that without screwing it up. I haven't seen halloween 6 in forever, but I remember it being really awful.

I cant believe Halloween 3 is still hated at this point.
Sure in the 80s we hated it because of no myers but after all the sequels and passage of time how can you not judge it on its own merits. It's a cool story with fun actors.

I love H3. It definitely has that Carpenter feel to it. He produced it and wrote the score and Cundey was the DP, so visually it’s great. I also think the story is interesting and strange in a good way, and is an awesome movie to watch around Halloween time.

The more I watch the trailer the more excited I am for this movie. According to James Jude Courtney, Nick Castle is only in one scene and doesn’t walk in it. So it appears JJ Courtney has studied the movements of Castle pretty damn well and has the character down.

Wow. I was hoping Castle would have a little more involvement but I agree from the trailers it looks like Courtney studied him pretty well.

If you follow the official Halloween Facebook, they've been posting interviews with cast and crew done back in February now that the trailer is out. They had one today with the two English actors that offered some interesting details about their characters.

I think the movie would be seen in a far better light if it's title was not Halloween 3,for some reason people see to dislike it because it has nothng to do with the Halloween franchise.

I do remember however being a little let down as a kid, renting the movie after just watching Halloween 2,and finding out Michael Myers was not in it,but after settling down and watching it I found it to be a pretty decent horror flick imho.

Oh the irony if this turns out as bad as Attack Of The Clowns did.

What about Halloween 2 1981 and Halloween 4? they had gore in them even Michael having his thumb through a guy's skull to stabbing someone with a shotgun top.

Halloween III is getting more respect since 2005 in the age of the internet now thanks to research on it! Carpenter wanted Michael dead after part 2 and he had a concept to make the franchise into something like Tales from the Crypt, Tales from the Darkside, Are you Afraid of the Dark or Twilight Zone into an anthology of different Halloween themed stories with standalone stories in each sequel and new fresh villains.

I can’t see why they can’t continue with that idea after this. Just release a Halloween themed movie (on Halloween obviously) every year. Always horror but different sub genres. They could even tie it in with Haddonfield for the odd film but in a clever way. Maybe tell one of the Smithsgrove patients backstories and have it linked to Haddonfield or a nearby town.
Of course, we have a bunch of escaped patients judging by the trailer, so............

In Italy, Halloween III is regarded as a minor classic. In truth, here Michael Myers is only popular with horror buffs. Italian general public don't even know who Michael is.
