I don't find it confusing at all with Halloween. It's essentially like certain movies go into their own groups of continuity and are easily separated from others.

Well, if you don't have some sort of chart or guide and just blindly watch them in the order they were released, one could easily get confused. I've never seen Halloween 4 or 5, so I didn't know that Laurie Strode was supposed to be dead in them. Had I watched them before seeing H2O, I would have been like WTF? Luckily today we have the internet to help make sense of it all.

Why would you have gone WTF? Laurie faking her own death is actually a plot point in H20!

Or you can be like some fans and try to connect them all into one insane, convoluted storyline. I’m sure some people will try to fit the new one in too and try to argue that it can be thought of as a sequel to Resurrection.

is this the nonsense we have to deal with now? people who think because marvel movies are connected that every movie with sequels are connected?

yeah, that must be it. that's why there are so many halloween movies. not because horror is cheap to produce and if successful can provide a huge return on investment.

something no one mentions, the idea of bringing back myers probably came after seeing friday the 13th pt 6 brining back jason.

Yes, I know. But I bet there will be at least a few people who try to connect the new one to all the others and it will be hilarious reading their explanations. I wonder if the people who try to connect H20 and Resurrection to 4-6 actually want them to be connected or if they just view it as some type of mental challenge.

Anyone hopes they will FINALLY kill Michael FOR GOOD this time? i mean please KILL Michael Myers already! have Laurie throw the bastard in a woodchipper or giant grinder and have him turn into hamburger meat so he would never come back and Laurie can FINALLY win.

Personally, I can see it being fun as a joke, but to take it seriously and watch the movies that way seems incredibly strange and a form of self-inflicted mental torture.

I read that Danny McBride said they were thinking about making back-to-back sequels but decided not to in case the new one isn’t well-received. But if it does really well, then maybe they’ll make a sequel, which would mean Michael won’t be killed. I’m not sure how I feel about this idea. I like the idea of one film ending the series, but I also like the idea of getting a two-parter if the movies are awesome.

After this movie they’ll probably make another eleven films. Moustapha Akkad said that he’d make a total of 22 Halloween films since that’s the number Donald Pleasence said he’d stop at.

If you really want to see Laurie get her revenge, just watch H20 and end it there.

Me with my two youtube friends Ocpcommunications and Ramboraph4life aren't the only ones who thinks this new sequel will be a pile of piss and believe Carpenter lost his touch after Vampires as Ghosts of Mars and The Ward were disappointing even thought the good thing post-Vampires was Cigaratte Burns on Masters of Horror.

But if it turns out to be a pile of shit like 5, resurrection and the remake plus it's sequel then just don't go like Jay Sherman would say and maybe they won't make anymore in case it turns out awful and flops, then maybe Blumhouse can come up with fresh new horror icons/new horror franchises for today rather than trying to recapture old glory like me and those 2 guys i mentioned.

So if we're to connect Halloween 4, 5 and 6 to H20, we're to believe she faked her death and abandoned her daughter... all just to have a son and treat him like shit?
