As far as Richard Donner is concerned, some of his work are good but some are not as good. The Donner cut of Superman II was less coherent and not as interesting as the theatrical version.
The Donner cut was pieced together from what was left. Considering the quality of the new scenes/alternate scenes I don't get why it was made o.o (imho).

it will be one of the best ever when wolverine slices someones hand off which probably wont happen.....like the new animated movie which is pg13 ....and also keep true to the actual characters.

I've never understood why so many people like Wolverine (or Bane or Doomsday). He's such a shallow, boring character, whose power isn't even that cool.

wolverine's power is far more cooler than batman's. oh wait. batman dosen't have powers. but seriously, wolverine is one of the coolest characters with such a rich background history. he's one of my favorites. this will be a great movie.

Super healing isn't cool? Super senses isn't cool?

****ING METAL CLAWS ISN'T COOL?

I can agree that Bane and Doomsday aren't that good though. Doomsday is totally flat, and although Bane has a lot more depth, I still don't care for him.

Just found this pic. It gave me goosebumps. One thing is for sure. Hugh Jackman loves the character and does everything he can to be loyal to him:

Deadpool, Gambit, Wolverine, Sabertooth and Silver Fox

For a high res, click on the pic

Arrow Hugh Jackman responds to fears of fans:

Another cool find! Hugh Jackman has been reading some of the talkback over at Aint it Cool News and has seen the fear some of the fans have been voicing over the reshoots. He sent this response:

Quote:
Hey everyone -

It’s Hugh Jackman, sending this note from freezing Vancouver. I have read a lot of your online comments regarding the footage that we are currently shooting and I share your passion for the Wolverine character and the movie - I owe it all to you guys!

I wanted to reach out and let you know that due to scheduling conflicts with certain cast members and location/weather considerations, we had to wait until now to shoot a couple of scenes. Please rest assured that WOLVERINE will be badass and hopefully meet all of your expectations. I am stoked by the positive response to the teaser, which clearly reflects the tone and scope of the film. If you like that, we’ve got much more in store!

In the meantime, here’s an exclusive shot of some characters you may recognize…

Cheers,

Hugh
I really like Jackman. He's a class act.

me too. he's great. he is a top notch actor who will bring the goods and elevate this movie above other standard fare comic popcorn films.

He is the reason why I love the Wolverine character...in movie form. By far my favorite superhero to grace the silver screen.

To back up Hugh Jackman's statement I found this:

Quote:
The reader that informed us of this also pointed us to an interview between SuperheroHype and producer Lauren Shuler Donner, in which Donner mentions that there will be some addition shoots in January. The interview was from October, so clearly Jackman is telling the truth when he says that the shoots were planned.

Good find Jason. Love the new promo shot which is now serves as my new desktop.

There are good things about the internet and there are bad things about the internet. One of the bad things being that misinformation can be posted and spread like wild fire in no time.

I've always liked Hugh Jackman and always thought he was a class act.

With that being said, I'm a big XMEN fan and can't wait for the movie.

By the way did anyone find it strange that Logan killed Lady Deathstrike in X2 and they did not really go into that back story? You could see him give her a strange look like he kind of remembered her but they never went into it. Hopefully they connect that back story some in this movie.. it's a pretty important part of his storyline. Especially since he killed her in X2.. lol

Mentioning the Watchmen in that article just smacks of fanboy drivel.

Fox had the rights to Watchmen so it's not their fault another company tried to come in and scoop the movie out from under them, and they obviously had a case otherwise it would not have been going to court with lawyers and Warner wouldn't have paid them.

I'm not in Fox's side on this but it's fairly obvious that it's not the 'undeserved' money that the writer of the article makes it out to be.

The only thing I see here that might make me hate this movie is the casting of Sabertooth/Victor Creed. i have same feeling when I saw Kate Bosworth as Lois Lane...
