I know it's Warner but was wondering if they'd let Scream/Shout do:

If they can have a good artist that is and have that Nathan dude do the cover art.

I can't see Universal letting any of their Spielberg films go to a 3rd party distributor, especially if Spielberg/Amblin have anything to say about it.

Agreed. I love me some 1941 and feel the current Blu is pretty damn good as is. The lengthy documentary is terrific, but I've always been rather disappointed that there was no input from any of the cast...the majority of them looked like they were having a helluva good time making the film.

I'd love to see a special edition of The Witches of Eastwick (a favorite 80's guilty pleasure) but the frenzied and even acrimonious production of that film leads me to believe it's unlikely.

That's very cool but I went with the Zavvi steel book instead. I do like the Scream cover better but the scan of The Howling that Studio Canal uses is so much better than the Scream one. I don't know why that awesome scan isn't available on any US release

I know it's a long shot, but I hope Scream Factory can release The Haunted (1991) with Sally Kirkland and Jeffrey Demunn. I love this movie and have an awful bootleg DVD of it.

My personal preference would be Arrow, then Sony and Scream. And even if Scream releases it here, I’m region free and would pick up Arrow’s UK edition. Win win situation.

Wonder what the chances are of The Presence getting picked up by them, being a Lionsgate film.

Couldn't wait any longer for a potential Xtro announcement. After seeing the pictures of how sweet the Second Sight release looked I had to jump on it. I'm curious to see if this isn't announced now as an October title.

Could you guys see the first Paranormal Activity release on Scream at some point? Hell I could see them release the first 3 on Scream.

It's a great set. I don't care for the 3 other versions of the film but the rest of the material is excellent - on par with the best of what Arrow has released. It even has a premium Arrow-style booklet. It comes in a great two-sided hardbox making for an overall fantastic release. It simply can't be topped.

It must be Shout's doing, they've changed the date on their website, as well. I haven't seen them mention it yet though

I also pulled the trigger on the Second Sight Xtro. It just looks too good. If Scream releases it now, it's just going to piss me off. Kino is starting to post lists of titles they've acquired, with the stipulation that they may or may not release all of them. If SF has Xtro, all they had to say is, "hold on, guys. Don't import just yet; if you can wait a couple months we'll be releasing it, too," and I would be fine with that. No problem. As I've said before, I'd much rather own the U.S. versions first. Sometimes you have to import--quality, special editions, features--but when it's not necessary, labels should give you some notice. It seems a smart practice if they want to get your money.

I asked them about this in Facebook and they said that they found an error that has to be corrected which led to the delay.

Not at the moment. The Paranormal Activity Films are with Paramount, so unless they start licensing their films there's no hope for the moment. They would make for an interesting release however. The first film would benefit by having the original Screamfest cut added to the disc (currently only available via bootleg) which changes/adds around 10-15 minutes of footage including the ending. Additionally, Part 3 has an entire different version/cut of the film that is dramatically different from what was released. Seeing this alternative version of part 3 is one of my dream releases.
