I just received an email from BB saying my set (1-5) has just been shipped, may get it on Tuesday after al.

I doubt I will get many of these by end of next week, but i did a pre-order theu amazon not one of them have a known delivey date.

Sadly my Best Buy platiinum rewards have expired and they charge a lot for faster shipping. So amazon it is.

Looks like no one is stocking these on Tuesday in stores sadly

I was just at a local best buy and an had somepien pull uo the first film in the series to see if he could tell if it would be stocked in their store he said that they currently had no stock and that it doesnt say if they will.

Possibly locations that stock more media may have them but sounds slim.

Perhaps they will get stock more close to release of the new film.

Can anyone offer any insight on the amazon.ca Mission Impossible 4k? It doesn't specify that it's a 4k but I've read nothing about a blu-ray re-release.

Thought for sure these would be 19.99 at release. I was looking forward to Tom Cruise day on Tuesday but the price is too steep for me for catalog titles that range from fine to good from a presentation standpoint. I'll probably just get Rogue Nation since it's my favorite.

I’m not really one to complain about prices, like at all really, but I really wanted these to be $14.99-19.99 by release considering there’s no U.S. box set. Guess I’ll just have to wait.

Possibly, but they all have seven digit skus which means they aren’t third party and could be sold in stores.

Part 1 and GHOST PROTOCOL. Both look very nice.

The original looks like a 1996 anamorphic production -- which isn't a bad thing at all. Night shots are particularly impressive -- fine details aplenty, alongside bright highlights on the wet cobblestone streets of Prague. Grain is abundant, more visible in brighter scenes, white walls etc. (the CIA break-in sequence). The grain here sometimes takes on a sharper, slightly digital look -- but I stress slightly. I never owned this one on BD, but based on the screencaps on this site the UHD is a clear improvement. This isn't a Sony-style home run, but on the whole this is a very pleasing offering.

MISSION IMPOSSIBLE is one of those rare franchises where I think the movies get better as the series progresses, and GHOST PROTOCOL is probably my favorite. The original BD already looked very good -- so now add better compression, color and dynamic range. The opening aerial shots over the deserts of Dubai are striking -- great detail and color richness in the sands. There's definite grain on display in GHOST PROTOCOL, but I'll call that a welcome surprise. And I spotted some occasional moire in the opening cityscape shot over Budapest -- but nothing outrageous. And while we don't get changing aspect ratios, some of the shots where Cruise is climbing the Burj Khalifa are breathtakingly clear.

Looking forward to revisiting the others in the weeks ahead.

Target will most certainly not have any of the MI 4Ks in store. Whenever a DPCI starts with "246", it's limited to Target.com only, while a DPCI starting with "058" are sold in store. I'm not sure about Best Buy, but I hope at least Walmart will surprise us with them in store.

As asked, yes BBY will only have 4 and 5 in stores. They will also only have 1-3 copies of each, so take note. The first 3 are not on order at any stores in the area and are not part of any planogram set in the near future. Looks like BBY will only have the first 3 online for now, but that could change quickly.

Wanted to wait for a $19.99 price, but I suckered myself into buying all of them from bb.com. Ugh. Mind should be here Wednesday.
