There is way more political reasoning behind this than psp umd's.
i'm sure umd has a small part in this...but seriously did they expect umd's to be a cash cow? gimme a break.

If they did, then Universal Studio's has bigger problems than any of us are aware of.

They are probably in on some kick back from Toshiba or something for staying exclusive.

Plus wasn't there something about them handing over the masters to sony for encoding which Universal has a "No Way Jose" policy about doing? thought i read this somewhere.
